I just IVed some oxycontin. i was wondering on how effective is the process of filtering out all the fillers??

Check out the FAQ on OxyContin in the FAQs section. You can't just filter and bang, the nasty binders and time release mechinisms still get in the rig and will eventually lead to some serious health problems. You can always do a cold water extraction, as the binders are not soluable in COLD water. This is still a dangerous practice as you can't be sure how successful you are. I advise against IVing oxycontins.

Look, you can't cook the pills and load your rig, because a lot of that nasty shit will just melt and be drawn up into your rig... here is a nifty expairment you can do .. go ahead and cook up an OC, now, set the spoon on an ice cube until everything is cooled down - there should be a film on top of the fluid, you can take the but of the plunger and skim it off - see, had you just drawn it up that would have been in the syringe..
If you want to bang them, you need to think COLD and not hot.. take the OxyContin, crush it up, and put it in a small amount of ICE COLD WATER - this water must be cold, so before you begin you should put the water in the freezer until it's as cold as it gets... add the OxyContin and stir it up a little.. there will be a lot that does NOT disolve, and you're not going to try and force it to.. let it set for awhile - you can stir now and then.. after a few minutes, draw off the fluid leaving the rest in the cup.. this liquid can be put in a spoon, filtered, then injected.. as long as it ALWAYS remains cold, you won't have any problems as the Oxycodone is the only thing that will have disolved - the rest won't ...
This is a safer way to do it, but still, these pills are NOT MENT TO BE INJECTED .. what happends if you DO inject the OC in your normal fassion of cooking it? You can read about it in the FAQ (http://www.bluelight.ru/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=32&t=000052)
If you want to take a little more risk you can cook it as normal, then put the spoon in the freezer for a few minutes.. when it's all cool you can skim off a little of the top, drop in a filter, then suck up the fluid - the cold should solidify most of the harmfull constituents ..

Its effective, but obviously its not 100% effective. This is kitchen science and isn't lab work. You can't tell how effective you were. IVing oxycontins IS NOT HEALTHY. If your going to do it, you may as well do it somewhat safeER. And that would be with the cold water extration.

The cold water method HELPS but as Deus said, it's far from perfect.. I will no longer IV OxyContin, it's simply not worth the risk.. besides, the rush is the only benifit - the high is so fucking short I burn throug them twice as fast as if I snort them..

After all...I guess it's not too safe to IV oxycontin. So I guess it's not a good idea to do it anymore...Thanks for the info guys.

Elevator to hell? With a K-4? You must be pressing the wrong buttons, because when it comes to IV Dilaudid, that elevator only goes up!

It's not as intense as heroin, but if you're not opiate tolerant, a 20-40mg shot is really nice. The overall high is good. If I get a big enough dose, I actually kind of prefer it to heroin. It's downside is that it only last for about an hour.
And as everyone else said, it's really unhealthy to shoot OxyContin, so you're better off not if that's your source of oxycodone.
