IV missed shot please help

So I missed a shot today in my wrist and it swelled up at first and then got really tender well the swelling has gone down mostly but I'm worried because the vein area REALLY hurts and so do my fingers and joints when I move my hand on it's right side ..I'm worried maybe I should go to the hospital what did I do ? I've missed shots before and never had pain like this is it possible I hit a nerve ? Or an artery ..could I have started an abscess ... I missed a 4 mg dilaudid shot into the farthest vein on the outside of my hand in my wrist ..I'm hoping it hurts so bad because it's such a delicate area ..does heat or Ice help in a situation like this ? I've been IVing a while so I'm not an amateur just a bitch and a worrier when it comes to pain and these side effects ..any response would help ..thanks.

there are alot of nerves and tendons in that area. you prb knicked one or two

time. usually takes maybe 30-45 min for swelling to go down, the pain can last for days tho
