Substance: IV Hydromorphone, 2mg.
Exp: First Time.
Height/Weight: 5'11", 120lbs, slim/slender.
So I've been trying to get off of hydromorphone, and I tried to avoid IV'ing it, always snorting it. I never really had the chance to IV it anyway, but I ran across a wrapped sterile syringe (trusted source) last night. I had never IV'd but I figured tonight was as good a night as any.
My girlfriend was spending the night, but she doesn't do drugs and fell asleep on the couch. While she was asleep I gathered my supplies; a bottle cap, a q-tip, an empty soda can (to discard the syringe in), a belt, the 2mg Hydromorphone, and the syringe. I was sort of scared IV'ing so I kissed my girlfriend on the forehead and headed to the bathroom.
After laying out all the supplies on the counter, I crushed up the D under a dollar bill [I'd like to say to all the first timers that using a dollar bill isn't safe and is likely a good way to catch something.] and chopped it up just a bit with a razor. I scrapped it into the bottle cap and mixed it with about 30 units of water. Swished it around with the rubber part of the plunger, put the end of the q-tip in it and pulled it all back into the syringe. I used the belt for a tourniquet and pushed into the vein in my right arm. I was a little shaky and had trouble pulling back to check for blood. I finally pulled back a little blood, and for some reason I got freaked and pulled the needle out. The tourniquet was still on so blood literally gushed out (I have very large veins).
I pulled it off and wiped off the blood, just sitting there thinking "What the fuck am I doing, I'm trying to quit." But looking at the syringe and not wanting to waste it I pushed on. This time I wrapped my left arm, pumped my fist and stuck into a vein. Blood actually shot into the syringe and I knew I hit. I pushed down on the plunger and got freaked again. I pulled out and was thinking I'd feel a rush but I didn't feel anything. Oh, I left the tourniquet on. I pulled it off and waited. Still nothing. I stood up and figured "Shit... guess I won't feel anything." and started to clean up a bit.
Then it hit me. I sat down on the toilet and felt numb, tingly, sweaty but cold. I was thinking "Shit what a bad idea...", and tried to stand up again and keep cleaning off the counter and got another "wave". It felt like I was retreating inside my own mind. The days events (just hanging out with friends) were playing in my mind...
I came too with my entire body feeling numb and tingly. I was slumped over in the corner of the bathroom floor, against the door. It felt like a dream. I stood up and tried to keep cleaning up, then felt another rush come on. Again, I was seeing the days events play in my mind....
I came too again in the tingly, numb body wave. The side of my head and jaw hurt and I was laying in the floor with my head against the bathtub. Instead of trying to stand up I just lied there, in full nod. Going in and out of a dream of the days events, then coming back with the numb feeling. I think I was there for about 10-15 minutes, I don't even remember. I realized my glasses were not on my face. I slowly started to get up and looked around for my glasses. I finally found them in the bathtub. My best guess is that when I fell over I hit my head on the edge of the bathtub. My face was sore to touch but it didn't hurt.
I finished cleaning up and got some milk. I was still floaty feeling but I could function and didn't think I was going to fall out again. I was happy to see my girlfriend was still asleep and got in bed next to her. I could barely hold my eyes open, so I let myself fall asleep and I can say it's the best sleep I've had in years. When we woke up about 11 hours later my girlfriend asked, me somewhat startled, what happened to my face. I got up and looked in the mirror... a black eye and a bruised jaw. I told her I slipped in the bathroom (Hey, it wasn't a lie : P).
The fact that 2 mg of the hydro made me fall out twice shows me how powerful it really is... It was fun, and I got a hell of a nights sleep. Hope my report was enjoyable : )
