RCs IV ethylphenidate advice

I used to love IVing methylphenidate. 20mg IR ritalin mostly 2-4 at a time. I got a nice rush from it and it was a very recreational stimulant that didn't keep me up too terribly compared to coke or meth or adderall. I only did this a few times and won't ever do so again due to how unsafe it is even compared to injecting other pills (due to talc being water soluble and getting through even micron filters which can cause pulmonary talcosis). I thought ethylphenidate would be a much safer replacement so I used a trusted source to obtain some. It is a fine crystalline white substance and I have tried injecting it in doses from 10-60mg. I usually partially missed my shots making them some combination of IV and subcutaneous. I failed to get a real rush and I am not nearly as stimulated as I would be with methylphenidate. Do I just need to increase my dose? I don't want to snort/eat as I am broke and want to maximize bioavailablity. I don't want to plug as I'm sure someone will suggest since I've tried and do not like that ROA at all. I have heard this is quite tough on mucous membranes. Any advice on how to get more out of my ethylphenidate? I have searched and can find little information on using this drug IV or injecting it at all. I will hopefully get more micron filters soon in whcih case I could IM?
 
For some reason I couldn't edit the post, it would freeze when I tried, so sorry to double post, but I wanted to add that I got good results (strong euphoria and good duration) from 70mg IV. I guess my tolerance is higher than I thought or this is less potent than methylphenidate. Any thoughts on smoking (vaping)? Id guess it'd be short duration, good rush, but wasteful. Would you need the freebase? I don't know what kind of salt my ethylphenidate is. Any advice would be welcome.
 
Any idea what that exact potency difference might be between methylphenidate (MPH) and ethylphenidate (EPH)? I mean, how many mg of EPH would equal, say, 20mg (or any dose really; 10mg, 100mg, whatever is easiest for you guys haha) of MPH. I understand (and my personal experiences have confirmed) that EPH is less potent, but how much less so exactly? I could guess but its been a while since i've done much MPH so i'd be totally guessing.
You say "much" less potent, but does that mean 50% as strong as MPH (100mg EPH=50mg MPH)? 75% strong as MPH (100mg EPH= 75mg MPH)? Or even, through I doubt it, 10% the potency of MPH (10mg MPH=100mg EPH)?. Let me know if anyone has a better idea of exact equivalent dosages please.

I know there probably isn't a definitive or scientific answer for the question of exact potency comparison (especially not for this ROA-IV) But It would be very helpful to know even the equivalent dosages for oral or insufflation. Even anecdotal advice from people experienced with both substances would be greatly helpful. From my short run with EPH i'd gues that maybe 40mg MPH IV is equal to 60-70mg EPH IV? Does that sound about right to people? Anyone who's tried both more than a handful of times (any ROA but IV would be best) please chime in and give me a hand.

The effects of the 2 drugs seem almost identical based on my experimentation over the last day or so since i receive my EPH and my large amount of experience with MPH. EPH may be slightly less potent, and a littel less euphoric, pushy/in your face? It seems like it may be better for studying and focus since it seems less fiendy/moreish/compulsive that MPH meaning I have less desire to redose rapidly and abuse the drug than I would experience when I used to use MPH.

Also, anyone have any insight into possible dangers of IVing relatively pure EPH? I trust my source gave me pure product but have no definite proof and who really knows for sure these days.

Are there any complications anyone can think of that might arise beyond regular risks of IVing any other relatively pure substances (Ketamine, heroin, meth, cocaine, to name some common ones)? I hope this is a much safer stimulant to use IV than MPH pills, coke, meth, adderall/dexedrine pills, etc. It seems to be less (neuro and cardio?) toxic than coke/amps iif it has similar toxicity to MPH. It has shorter duration than any amphetamine i've used, reducing my lack of sleep/food. I can eat/drink more easily on this than other stims (so far), and it is not as fiendy as most other stims (again so far), though it does make me crave more after doing a couple shots.

Anyways, thanks for reading and any insight/advice/knowledge anyone can give me.
 
I figure ethylphenidate should be about 40-60% the potency of methylphenidate, but of course it's subjectively different for everyone.

The fact of the matter is, ethylphenidate has a shorter half life and is less effective at blocking norepinephrine reuptake, so it is overall less "pushy/stimulating".
 
I found EPH to be much more "pushy/tweaky", and generally gross feeling stimulation than MPH. but i guess all that is subjective too. after eating 100mg in 2 50mg bombs over 2 hours i looked like id been smoking crack for a month straight.. very grimey and nasty feeling stim for me
