Ive destroyed my body racing MX, and have had operations on both femurs, hips, pelvis, arm, etc. I'm fortunate to be able to walk, but I've living in pain most of the time for the past 10 years. I just had my last nerve burning procedure yesterday in my back, and the only way to see if its worked is to quit all Opies. To give you more info, I've been on them (this time) since last December, and I'm up to about 10 a day. It doesnt seem like a lot, compared to some of the stories I've read, but I need to lose this crutch, and look forward to better days. The Last time that I was on them (3 yrs ago, on for about 8 months, 10 per day, until a stem cell operation got me out of pain), I camped out at my vacation home, and quit cold turkey. I drank lots of Ensure, and took Imodium, as well as Vitamins, and Xanax in order to sleep. It sucked for about a week, but gradually got better. I had the $hit$ for a few months, and didnt sleep right for at least a month. Can you guys and gals reccomend anything else I can bring with me when I quit these pills again in a few weeks ?? I'm not looking forward to coming off these, but I have a really great life, a wonderful wife (that knows of my ills), and a good business to keep running. Thanks in advance for any help....

Congradulations Bahoo on your continued quest to get yourself well and feeling good (without the help of substances). The plan you listed is very good , Imodium is a lifesaver. I trust you know the correct dosage and way to take it to combat withdrawals since you have used it in the past. If you need direction in that ection though, let me know and I can provide you with some links to help you find more information about Loperamide (Imodium). The vacation home, and an understanding wife who can help you along the way is an amazing resource. In my opinion there isn't much more you could need to help combat the come-off period. Everything you listed above is what I would have mentioned so I think you have it all covered :).

Goodluck and let us know how you do and if your nerve burning treatment worked this time :) <3.
