Scorned Woman Rats Out Husband
Johnny Preston Holliday, who's wife turned him in to Sheriff's deputies for selling drugs after the two had a domestic fight.
(CANTONMENT, Fla.) May 14th -- Ever hear the expression "a woman scorned"? Escambia County Sheriff's Deputies say that's probably a good way to describe one woman who was living in a Cantonment home, and the law officers are not complaining.
Deputies say they thought they were responding to a domestic dispute between Johnny Holliday and his wife, Kathryn, but when deputies arrived Kathryn turned drug informant, telling deputies their fight started because her husband sells drugs.
Glenn Austin with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office says she is the reason deputies uncovered a secret marijuana growing operation which was happening in the middle of two different Cantonment neighborhoods."She takes it one step further. She goes out back and says.. here they are." Deputies find 536 marijuana plants in the couple's backyard and inside their home, but Holliday's wife wasn't finished snitching.
"She's still angry, and she expounds more," explains Austin. "She says, ya know what, this isn't all, there's more." She leads deputies to her husband's other home, where they find even more marijuana.
Deputies arrested Johnny Holiday and charged him with battery against his wife and drug trafficking. As for the drug informant, she was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No charges were filed against her.
Deputies say as they were hauling Johnny Holiday off to jail, he became increasingly angry with his wife, saying "I'm going to see you again and I'm not threatening you, I'm promising you." But as for the present, he remains locked up in the Escambia County Jail.
