It can be sad yet simple
Newton said it best
Understand and accept
Let your mind rest

Compromise and balance
It’s opposite and it’s equal
You only get one chance
Life doesn’t have a sequel

Every time you feel trapped
Someone else is free
Every time you cloud someone’s joy
Darkness you will see

You will feel emptiness in your soul
For every love you turn away
You will be rewarded
For every kind thing you say

When you are honest
You avoid being lied to
When you give someone a smile
You avoid being blue

Always walk in the other shoe
Cause you will end up on the that side
This is the way life is
You really can not hide

Unfair it may seem
But you’ve got to look deeper
Watch out for others
Be your brother’s keeper

Death may seem cruel
But there’s light at the other end
Birth brings amazing beauty
Broken hearts do mend

You can choose to listen to this advice
Or you can ignore it
Where there is darkness now
Some other time it was or will be lit

Give and take
Wait your turn
Life is balanced
Teach and learn
