a stabbing white a strobing light

every gasp every pound

a soft seduction
of flames thrill me
hold me enthralled
a sacrifice to the beast

every rise every fall
every breath hating love
loving hate

gnawing cleansing my frail
chaff burns burns burns
burnt to an empty husk
but, but… but
