Benzos Issues with Xanax

Lately been having an odd issue with Alprazolam (Xanax) recently my doc upped my dose to 2mgs, thing is I can't feel anything when I take the 2mg bars they don't do a thing to me don't why that is. The 1mgs I was taking I would let 2 dissolve under my tongue and I would have satisfying results but with the 2mg bars they just don't even hit me even after breaking them in half and popping them I've broke off pieces to let dissolve under my tongue but nothing again. I told my doc about this but he seem baffled and agreed to switch me back to the 1mg again. Why can this happen? I've taken bars in the past and had wonderful effects but this time around they aren't cutting it and it's with every brand the GG249s, G3722, R039, S903 and even the brand name Bars with the Xanax imprint and 2 on the back!
 
Tolerance. It's a bitch. I take 2mg daily and at this point don't notice it. Sometimes it can help with sleep, but right now I'm pretty much just taking them to prevent going into W/D. A different benzo may help. I take kpins too and can still notice them. Odd but I do. Seriously considering weening myself off as these pills are doing nothing but make me spend money. I get the GG's, but I forget the number. Blue footballs. Mixed with herb they help sedate me more. Talk with you DR about possibly trying something else. Tapering even. Sucks when shit stops working. Welcome to being benzo tolerant :(
 
Yup, list Thedude said, tolerance . That's why I'm on 6 micros of clonidine right now and that would knock out 6 non tolerant people easily. I know that's not a benzo but you catch my drift.
Do you pop on an empty stomach? because with benzos sometimes that makes all the difference.
 
damn that's weird dude. Is it a diff brand than the footballs you used to get? maybe ask if you can still get the 1mg pills but just double the amount. That's really odd if its not your tolly going up. maybe its time to switch up benzos. Do you use them for sleep? Temazepam is real good for that
 
Yeah the blue footballs and the peach 0.5 ones work better for me than the 2mg, it's weird I might just stick to the 1mg I do take them in a empty stomach but the 1mg I just let them dissolve under my tongue. I do use them for sleep also for anxiety disorder I have really bad Health anxiety.
 
I've never heard of clonidine might do some research.
