But here's the thing

I love Middle Eastern food

Every time I go to Seattle, I get a falafel sangwich

"Some people in this group might not support some of you so you shouldn't show support for any of them"

I think all humans deserve support no matter what some of them think of me or people I care about. That's why I think all Americans including the subgroup of conservatives that are extreme racists and homophobes also deserve healthcare and other social safety nets provided by my taxes.

What I don't want is my taxes going to fund weaponry to slaughter women and children in areas like Gaza and the west bank

"some" MIGHT not support you?
how about the vast majority absolutely DON'T support you.
not only do they not support YOU, they don't believe in allowing ANYONE like you to even exist.
They either actively want to murder you or they support laws that would enable others to.

It's not about YOU it's about what they stand for. The establishment of actual religious tyranny , actual genocide, and the opposite of everything you believe not just your sexual orientation or gender identity.

If Palestinians were white Christians leaving all other factors the same, western leftists would not care because it doesn't fit into the intersectional oppressor/oppressed framework. It's literally just empty virtue signaling. Having a worldview and working backwards to make every conflict fit your narrative.

As soon as Hamas releases the hostages, if any are left alive, the bloodshed will stop.
But better to blame Israel I suppose. Rather than the side who objectively escalated things on Oct 7 by targeting civilians in a massive terror attack. Makes sense.

I see you missed the second half of my post about US conservatives deserving support

Allowing conservatives health care in your own country is not the same as saying you'd give a shit about Palestine if they were white Christians.

Tell me with a straight face that the Free Palestine movement would exist if they were white Christians getting bombed by Israel.

Yea it would still exist. Just like the movement to end the apartheid in south Africa existed

Are you being intentionally evasive here?
That was another white on non-white oppressor conflict.
Why would you cite apartheid in South Africa to support your argument that the Free Palestine movement would exist even if there were no racial element involved ?

White Christians are historically the oppressors but I'm pretty sure I was clear in my answer of yes and I gave an example that met half of the criteria.

As far as I'm aware there are minimal to no examples specifically of white Christians being oppressed at least in part because the way that the term white is used is in reference to an "in group" which the definition of changes over time to explicitly exclude some groups with light skin tones based on who was being oppressed at the time. See Irish, German, and some Jewish history for examples of such

ok, it didn't meet any of the criteria.
you can say yes, but everything you've said has just been a diversion

it is very simple in my mind. Turn the Palestinians into white people there is no way to claim ethnic cleansing, apartheid, etc. No way to realistically characterize the US support for Israel as white supremacy.

The best you could possibly do is appeal to class and poverty, but let's face it, that just doesn't make the young folk take to the streets like race stuff. You take away those underpinnings, the movement fizzles out.

So South Africa isn't 78% christian?

it wasn't a religious conflict like Israel/Palestine
that fact is not relevant

There is no reality where the persecution of white Christian middle easterners by another group of white middle easterners galvanizes the youth into hunger strikes at universities across the West. Period.
