It can be. A small team moves in, starts a fight to trigger the enemy to react, and then they call in artillery/airstrikes on the heads that pop up.

Not all special forces are long range recon teams in forests and deserts. In Afghanistan and Iraq there were teams and solo operators in cities where "soldiers" stick out and are targets.

They wear suits, or jeans or dress like a local and carry AKs.

this all sounds like shit that would work in larger middle eastern countries , not Gaza.

and if you're going to still utilize air strikes, it wouldn't appease the people crying about air strikes.

too densely populated , civilians would still die.

Nope, it's perfect in Gaza. Just think what a team of snipers taking over tall building in a urban area like Gaza can do.

JTF2 in Iraq took over a multistory hotel and were sniping people in a city out of it, and calling in the troop movements etc.

This is a real life example of what special forces do in urban environments

we sure seemed to have a liberal definition when we bombed and killed 4 million civilians

Let's say they manage to take over a Hamas controlled building without giving away their location. Let's say they kill a few. When the terrorists head pops open and ten other people see it happen, what do they do then?

Kill them all. The goals is to get Hamas to attack them, and then use overwhelming force to eliminate the threat.

So Hamas sends in fighers, shoot them. Hamas starts launching mortars and RPG, call in artillery on them. Fuck them up.

sorry I just don't see how you implement something like this to work on a wide scale to kill thousands of terrorists. I'm all for using it supplementally , but to pretend like it could replace their current strategies... wishful thinking

it's not to replace their current strategy, it is the tip of the spear of their current strategy. it's taking place now.

That was an insane shot, JTF2 also set the world record for longest kill, I think over a mile out..The guy who took the shot was on the Shawn Ryan show, it’s amazing what you can do with the appropriate gear…and ermmm training…but mostly gear
 
Also there is 100% enough tier 1 operators and supporting members to tactically take over the city in a surprising amount of time…but that puts friendly lives at risk, why do that when you can just use the hand of god

Not too far in the future all longest killshots will be done by AI. Kind of don't believe that armies will agree and respect agreement about such use of AI as with nuclear or chemical weapons since to average Joe automatic sniper killing almost as far as reach of the bullet. Being able to mount such weapon on drones for urban areas could swiftly eliminate soldiers while keeping civilians and solders that'll clean up if needed.

dude , this is what I was trying to explain to arrall in the other thread

this bullshit right here is what is behind idk at least half of the "free Palestine" marches happening in western universities

it is oppressor vs oppressed , that's what everything is boiled down to

how do you determine who is who? Just get your skin pigmentation chart out and ignore all other factors.

once you have evaluated each side and placed them in the appropriate victimhood slot, then you can start moving down the list and making adjustments.
