I won't deny members of Israel's military have done despicable things. People suck, and you give enough people weapons and license of power and it will get abused, no question about it. Every military force is guilty of this abuse of power - Kubrick's 'Full Metal Jacket' scene of the helicopter gunner in Vietnam mowing down innocent people for lols is the perfect encapsulation of this evil that exists within people, or indeed the bit at the end where the same solider who was puking up earlier because of that gunner then goes on to encourage the murder of the armed Vietnamese child soldier.Yeah they might not rape women and kids, they just shoot pregnant women in the belly. However. We're not talking about abuses of military power here. Hamas clearly and purposefully set out to murder, butcher, rape, and kidnap, innocent civilians. It was targeting civilians directly, not as a side consequence of a military operation. This was pure barbarism. There is a clear distinction in this case. Israeli soldiers abusing their power in a military context is not even close to an entire operation that deliberately targeted a festival and settlements and massacring everyone in a strategic fashion.
I'm not even sure this fits into the 'war crime' definition to be honest. There was no declaration of war, this was not a military operation with a military agenda, it was just straight up barbarism.

The number of women and kids killed by HAMAS are far higher then Israel. I don't recall Israel strapping bombs to kids or using a school to shoot rockets off of.
