should we not try and improve/ progress? Why do humans love to pretend we are so much different than our great-great-great-great-great-grandfathers?
this has to be the dumbest comment in this whole threadThat is interesting about war crimes, it's fucking war. Oh no someone got killed in war. What the fuck do you cry baby bitches think war is. It is brutal bloody and guess what people die. People kill each other it is war, war crimes, Tell that to the terrorists. Grow up you fucking cry babies war is hell people kill each other. I know why don't you go over there and cry about it.
109 still seems like a high number tbf. But I once was where you are, and respect your position.Lots of illiterate ignorant peasants intoxicated with religion and stupidity. But sure, I know where you stand. Amazingly, it's against the Jews- how novel.
of course we should... if life is truly meaningless, then the only possible meaning of meaningless is the progression of time... progress....should we not try and improve/ progress?
We've had the Enlightenment and the dispersal of rationality over superstition, which has gone some ways toward creating a more humanistic, less theological, framework for conduct. Of course, last century we saw what is possibly the worst of humanity, so I largely agree that we haven't fundamentally changed. Why do humans love to pretend we are so much different than our great-great-great-great-great-grandfathers?
This reminds me of the ‘Syrian gas attack’ a few years ago. It was probably the fakest thing I’ve ever seen the American population fall for.Evan Saddam thought and did have nerve gas, gave it to Syrians. But we should have left him alone. I could care less about brutal third world dictators as long as they are not a threat.
we can idealize, but part of the progress is trying. we can't just allow atrocities to happen because "war is bad". the international community just lets it happen, gives money to it, and watches it on t.v... we LOVE war like we love a good boat race crash. Some social constructivism ideal?
yes, such is evolution of any specieswe can idealize, but part of the progress is trying.
I never suggested that, I was just talking about the ideawe can't just allow atrocities to happen because "war is bad"
less than 1% of 1% of "war crimes" ever committed have ever been prosecuted, it's a notoriously difficult crime to actually follow up onthe international community just lets it happen, gives money to it, and watches it on t.v... we LOVE war like we love a good boat race crash.
i mean, we could try denouncing them more thoroughly... and withhold the BILLIONS in aid we are giving until they are at least a little more chill about the war crimes. i personally will not allow my tax dollars to go to said things without making a fuss about it.it's a notoriously difficult crime to actually follow up on
