i have no idea but i'd rather not assume.

i disagree. i can barely make out a word.

alasdair

This is not an issue that is up for debate. Her words are very clear. You may argue there is no context, or she was provoked, or something else-- but the video speaks for itself. If you can't make it out I think that may be an issue with your device or perhaps your ears. No offense. (Sincerely)

If her words were being misrepresented or altered there would've been additional video circulated by this point, a comment by Loyola, or both.

Dozens of students have been arrested after police cleared an encampment set-up by pro-Palestine protesters at Columbia University in New York.

The university's president said that the "extraordinary step" came after multiple warnings and was necessary to provide a safe environment.

Among the participants in the protest was Minnesota politician Ilhan Omar's daughter, who has been suspended.

Protests have been held at US colleges since the war in Gaza began last year.

Protestors had constructed an encampment of about 50 tents on campus on Wednesday - and overnight hundreds of students and others had rallied with them.

On Thursday, they were joined by independent presidential candidate Cornel West, who told the students that he stands "in solidarity with human suffering".

In a statement sent to faculty earlier on Thursday, Columbia University president Dr Nemat Shafik said that she had hoped that her decision to authorise the New York Police Department to clear the encampment would "never be necessary".

"The individuals who established the encampment violated a long list of rules and policies," Dr Shafik said. "Through direct conversations and in writing, the university provided multiple notices of these violations."

Additionally, Ms Shafik said that she regretted that "all of these attempts to resolve the situation were rejected by the students involved".

I'm not trying to insinuate that the overall condition in Gaza is great or anything, but these images seem to be authentic and would go against the current narrative that millions are on the brink of literal starvation or that the IDF are preventing aid from entering.

Dude, it's totally normal to flock to the beaches during a genocide.

🤔

Oil prices are a huge driver of inflation, +4% is a big move. If it keeps up then inflation will go up and we'll be more likely to have a recession sooner

wow...

1. annihilate the surface
2. wait until people on surface join people on tunnels on some terms regarding killing people who annihilate the surface
3. annihilate the surface more because there are more people on tunnels

I know this is not possibly most accurate and wide description of what happens and it is open for counter-arguments but that truly resembles "mad-making" manipulation. Sets questionable how much zionist people of Israel are trying to "protect themselves" when they are doing what they are doing.

Also for other points I have pointed out, I shall continue playing my most small violin (I have most small violin) for zionists, who obviously can't do anything but annihilate the surface; :violin:

(what the fuck, it is actually pretty big)

e: Israel changed to zionists in last chapter. This is tragedy to Israel, after all. It is surprisingly hard to take into account the whole picture all the time and verbalize it in second language.

It sounds like you're expressing strong feelings about the actions and motivations of certain groups in Israel. While it's understandable to feel passionate about these issues, it's important to approach discussions with empathy and an open mind to different perspectives.

Would an "openly Palestinian" person be threatened with arrest at a pro Israel march?

I'm not sure who annoys me more. The limp piss drip policing, or the black egomaniac. In regards to the latter, these people annoy me because they think they have some new found power, due to the lax policing, but it's only going to end up fucking us all when it inevitably reaches the point where even greater force is required to deal the situation as a whole.

He best have his citizenship documents in order, is all I'm saying.

it was reaction largely driven by frustration. Since then, I've learned to mostly keep off of this thread, with fluctuating success. I recommend you the same, but if you are brave enough to participate, I'll raise my hat for you.

It's a bit funny to me when people insist that one side look over and debunk all the points in a video they liked, and then once someone finally does it, they disappear.

That's great and I wish you more success. I do believe political discussions should be approached with an open mind and not by heavy feelings.
