Six dollars in my pocket, ten days left to go.
Full car tank and ten benzos.
March’s been grueling, thirty-one days.
As Hendrix put it, "insane, purple haze.”
Remember when music didn’t suck?
Now it’s muttered, awful junk.
The Nineties were OK.
We still went out to play.
Don’t come back 'til the lights come on.
Payphone quarters, sense long gone.
The youth of the nation,
A cyborg generation.
Can’t say that; you’ll deeply ‘offend.’
Society’s gone off the deep end.
No longer go, for mental state of mind.
Suggest the same for peace to find.
