This is a re-post of a query I made earlier this week that was erroneously closed by Phreex (see below for explanation).
To summarize, I have been researching poppers and have found four main types that are legal in the U.S.:
{1} Cyclohexyl Nitrite or {2} Isobutyl Alcohol or {3} Ethyl Chloride or {4} Isopentyl Nitrite.
There is info. on the nitrite family of poppers--apparently, they are all similar to amyl nitrite. However, I have not found any information on how isobutyl alcohol poppers compare.
Just like nitrite poppers, isobutyl alcohol poppers are sold as head cleaners or leather polish or room odorizers, but with names that suggest that they give a rush or are associated with gay sex (commonly linked to poppers). These are the isobutyl alcohol poppers I have seen:
Power Pak
Rush w/ Power Pellet
Nitro Supra Liquid Aroma
Mr. Chaps Leather Cleaner
Mr. Wonderful
Rochefort
Does anyone know how inhaling isobutyl alcohol differs from nitrite poppers in effects, hangover (headache), dangers, contraindications, etc.?
For that matter, how do ethyl choride poppers compare to either of these? Any popper experts who can give a list of the pros and cons of ALL the different types (maybe even a faq)?
Thanks,
~psychoblast~
REGARDING CLOSING OF PRIOR POST:
Phreex, you were wrong to close my prior post. You said the topic had been covered many times, and then gave a link to a thread on amyl nitrite.
While you are correct that amyl nitrite has been discussed on here numerous times, there is NO discussion on here about the effects of inhaling isobutyl alcohol. Though it is being sold the same way as the amyl (and other) nitrite poppers, the question of how it may differ is very VALID and brand NEW.
