Make Other Drugs Great Again
About 8 months ago I decided to start a grand lifestyle where I would lay around all day, eat alpha-male foods (re: PIZZA), abuse drugs and isolate without consequence. Obviously these were grandiose thoughts. I have been sober for 2 weeks now with the exception of one 10MG Adderall XR per day, prescribed. I am a 26-yo white male, half pack/day smoker, 6'0 175LBS, average BP, no previous health issues, no alcohol consumption.

I had 8 months work-free, zero responsibilities, $80,000 in cash, a german car in the driveway, so basically I was another isolated hollywood celebrity, minus the fame.

Highlights:
18-22 hours/day laying in bed or being sedentary
Eating poorly & excercising never
Using 10-12MG alprazolam every other day, unprescribed, taken orally and attempts at IV a dozen times into arm vein
Using 60-90MG adderall XR per day, unprescribed, taken orally and attempts at IV 2-3 times into arm vein
Using 60-80MG oxycodone or 2-4MG bupe per day, unprescribed, snorted and IV'd about 50/50
Also taking 900MG-1800MG neurontin per day, prescribed for 'anxiety' and taken orally.

Obviously I was in a state of poly-substance induced psychosis mainly towards the end of this run. It was very unsafe IV practices, think the opposite of what we preach here on BL. Pills were crushed, mixed with tap water (no saline), filtered with Newport filter (no micron), re-registered/missed/shot repeated with same rig few times. Terrible, horrible, self-degrading moral line crossing shit. I know better. Thus the reason this is on BL and not WebMD - you all know how psychotropics warp your perception.

I am going to a doctor Monday, if not sooner due to what I'm about to describe:

Currently past physical withdrawals and sleeping normal, taking vitamins, eating healthy. One problem: numbness, tingling, poor temperature in 1st & second toes, pain & pulsations in upper calf/ thigh. Both legs/feet, pretty constant except after aspirin, not muscle pain, not good, I know. I noticed the numbness back when I started taking benzodiazepines and it was relieved with more benzodiazepines, obviously this was simply making me apathetic to my deteriorating condition.

A couple weeks ago I did have a blood test, EKG, vitals taken but did not ask them about what I just mentioned since I was having issues withdrawing at the time. What ever is going on in my legs and feet and toes has something to do with my grand lifestyle choice of these past 8 months and have heard several internet 'theories'. The most terrifying is deep vein thrombosis. The other one that has me anxious is ischemic rest pain, which makes sense because of the fact that these symptoms are highly noticeable while sitting/lying. The other possibility is I'm still in some form of anxiety-heightened state.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, and lastly has anyone heard from negrogesic lately? I miss our resident physician.

I'm sorry to hear that pinpoint... I'm happy that you're going to a doctor because that certainly needs to be addressed. Keep us updated <3 I wish I could offer more advice, but just know you do have my support.

I'm not a medical doctor and as such cannot provide medical advice. No one on BL can or will. I do have experience with deep vein thrombosis, as I have a genetic condition that almost killed my aunt (not a drug user) in childbirth that makes those of us with the bunk gene more at risk for DVT. It is not an uncommon condition and does not affect my life at all other than I require blood thinners before surgery.

That's a heck of a speedball you were taking there. What you're experiencing sounds a lot like RLS - restless legs syndrome. Many people who withdraw from opiates report having this. I'm not familiar with ischemia except as it applies to strokes; I caution against self-diagnosis in this or any regard. I am glad to read you are seeing a doctor. Would I be correct that your vitals, blood work and EKG were all within normal limits?

If you simply must shoot pills, surely there is a needle exchange in your area that provides clean rigs? Pills have binders, just as 'street drugs' can have adulterants that can cause all manner of problems with IV use. What you were taking, all of it is a LOT. Withdrawing from all of that at once could assuredly cause a panic reaction, particularly the alprazolam.

Please let us know how your doctor visit goes, much strength to you!
