Is your teen using marijuana?

Anyone ever notice that the majority of the people posting things on the message boards do NOT add that necessary space between the period and the first word of the new sentence?

i don't get it.do you?

Thanks, Disney..

What I find most amusing is the stereotype that drug users are stupid burnouts who take the easy way out rather than work hard and learn things. Take a look at that 16 year old's grammer and shit. Then look around this message board. Around here you see complete sentances, correct spellings, PUNCTUATION. And this SIXTEEN YEAR OLD, absolutly RETARDED, anti-drug bitch is telling us how to live?

The problem is that people generally only notice the idiots. Sorta like "all politicians are corrupt".

People who throw stones don't often bother to notice their house is made of glass beforehand. A lot of those people eventually realize they aren't so perfect themselves. Annoying just the same.

I love the story about the girls sister who over dosed on weed. Freevibe is about the most lie infested site I've ever seen.

And they don't care. They love it. I swear to God, the way to get drugs legal in America is not through activism or protests, it is through the TRUTH. ANY mind can be changed just by feeding it the truth.

I argue drugs every chance I get and what I always find is that by the end of the conversation, the anti-drug idiot ALWAYS is saying "...I never knew that...I was always told..." The only weapon the anti-drug crowd has is lies. You take that away and NOBODY can argue against change.

I sent the lovely people at Freevibe an email the other day. Would have posted about it immediately, but I was leaving it on the off chance that I might get a response that I could post simultaneously. Oh well. It was a rather rushed effort (if I'd had time, it would have been much closer to a literary masterpiece ;)) but I still think it was worth the time...

Hi, I'd just like to say that your website is quite possibly THE single most inaccurate and denigrating thing I have ever read. From your general misinformation about a range of drugs (a prime example: "There is no medical use of Rohypnol in the United States"), your exageration and ridiculous hyperbole (such as "...you could die from just one hit of crack or cocaine" - yes, but the same holds true for a single dose of aspirin), lack of scientific evidence or literary backing (firstly, it's breach of laws regarding intellectual property to cite literature without referencing it. Secondly, it seems that the only articles you do reference are secondary, websites, or government-provided, not independent, peer-reviewed articles), your derision of people who try drugs, whether once or frequently, and particularly your apparent mocking of drug addicts who may not be ABLE to stop using, even if they desperately want to.

I see all of this as insulting mot only to drug users - many of whom are extremely productive members of society - but also to the teens that you aim to keep away from drugs. Please explain to me how you intend to convince perfectly intelligent teens that what they and "everyone else" are doing, when it is clear that you are only showing negatives, without giving any indications of positives? [ok, so I didn't make a complete sentence... try sending them an email, their little "form" sucks!] Any person with half a mind of their own will automatically think that somebody's hiding something... and if you feel the need to hide simething, why should they believe a single word you say?

If you would like more discussion of the material on your website, with primary references to back up my postion, I would be more than happy to provide you with such, some time after completion of my exams (which include subjects in the final year of my Pharmacology major, in which i have an average mark of 91% ) have been completed on the 25th of June. Until then, I would be delighted to hear your response to my email.

---

Thought for once that tooting my horn about my pharmacology would lend credence to my arguments - and since it's true, is it really bragging? ;)

Anyway, tempted to send another email, chasing them up for a response. Might have to wait for a while, however, until the abovementioned exams are out of the way!!

Meh. You will never get a response from those people. They probably get volumes of emails from pissed off drug users daily.

Has anyone ever thought about WHY people don't agree with drug use? I mean, aside from those who still have the wool over their eyes and those who got involved in the wrong drugs. But seriously, can anyone think of a credible arguement as to why marijuana or other such harmless drugs should be illegal?

^^^Drugs are illegal because making them legal threatens the money, power, or both of those in the ruling class. Objective thinking shows that the people are better off if drugs are made legal and controlled somewhat. If the government was worried about anybody but themselves, they would have legalized drugs a long time ago. Instead they push propoganda. It pains me to see my family members buy even the most blatant lies and repeat them as if they were obvious truths. Money and power corrupt and make those in posession of either of them do many crooked things to keep hold. Unfortunately, the government has so much of both that there isn't much of a way to fight back against propoganda. Too many people trust the government, and they shouldn't. Even drug users buy a lot of the BS about drugs. Sad but true.

As far as a credible reason why to keep drugs illegal, there is none.

I definatly agree with the drug users buying propoganda too. Some of the most bullshit I've heard has been straight from them. But I'm wondering, how does making drugs legal threaten the "ruling class'" power?

For instance, we've all heard "If the tobacco companies wanted marijuana legal, it would be. They have that much power!" Why wouldn't the tobacco companies want marijuana to be legal? Who already has thousands of acres available, machinery, workers, factories, etc. already producing one type of smokeable product? Tobacco. It seems that portion of the ruling class should be in favor of legalization. I just don't see how any person of power would gain anything other than more power.

re: alcohol

"Look around you. Most teens aren't drinking alcohol. Research shows that 70 percent of people 12-20 haven't had a drink in the past month."

hahahahahahh

i dunno where they did this "research"

FreeVibe seems to agree with him:
We at Freevibe know you're smarter than that. We know you'll make up your own mind about the messages you see and hear. We know you're able to put media in its place, and separate real life from the fake stuff. But we know it's not easy. And if you aren't careful, that stuff sneaks up on you.

10. When you're surfing the Web, think about who put up the Web site you're looking at. Do they really know what they're talking about?
How deliciously ironic. %)
