Is your house clean?

I know some of us recreational users have clean houses, and some of us live like pigs. Which one are you? My house is generally clean. Vacuum twice a month, no trash lying around, and wash my dishes.

Go through phase but it usually doesn't take long to get somewhat messy. Planning a big cleanup today or tomorrow hopefully :)

Vacuum twice a month?!
I vacuum 2-3 times a week which I never really thought of as a lot until seeing you only do it twice a month!
I constantly keep on top of dishes by washing immediately after use and stocking the dishwasher. I guess I keep the place tidy as fook. I can't stand living in filth, some of my mate's houses/flats are just disgusting. I grew up with an obsessively hygienic mother who rubbed off on me, but I'm not out of control by any means...my bedroom is a bit of a tip and I accept the levels of dirt that come with owning a dog and general living. I live in a house surrounded by woods and am always gardening/in the woods/going for walks etc so the place would be pig-sty if I let up at all.

And yeah...even when I was a serious drug abuser, I still kept it together and maintained the place well. Still showered twice daily, brushed teeth 3 times a day, worked a hard graft landscaping job, did weight training despite being a daily heavy user of GBL, poppy pods, kratom, Cannabis and Alcohol with mephedrone several times a week. I don't know if it's just inherent in your nature, to become lazy. I may have been fucked up every day, but I never used it as an excuse to act like a dick - many people, whether aware or not (if they have truly convinced themselves it's outwith their control) act irresponsibly whilst high, abusing friends or whatever, and feel it renders their behaviour exempt from the scales of morality.

Went off on one a bit there....the moral of the story is CLEEN YER 'OUSE M

I vacuum on average once a week--Might go every other, but that's pushing it with a big dog, esp. now that I got another big dog living here. Wash the dishes once a day minimally, typically three to four times--Basically whenever I make 'em. Mirrors/Windows don't get cleaned very often since they don't get dirty very often, though the one gets a monthly wipe down. The one is a full-length mirror that my dog likes to lick/rub her nose on. Lmao. There really is no point in cleaning it more often as it will get dirty the day after I clean it (this has been proven every time I've cleaned it in the three years I've had her). Uhhh, anything else rarely gets cleaned--Only when it needs it. ;)

Yeah I only need to vacuum twice a month because I don't wear shoes in the house :P

Neither do I, but vacuuming twice a month is IiiiIIIiIIIIIiiinSaNeeeEEeeeee!

Where and how do you live? In a city? In a flat? On your own? Any pets? We need more information Brian!!

Well I've lived in my place for 2 years and I just bought a vacuum last week for the first time. So twice a month sounds like a lot to me ;)

umm well i share the house,
My room is always tidy, as its me that uses it but other parts of the house are not as desireable

Lol, I gotta share: Before I started vacuuming, the vacuuming was left up to my mom. She would vacuum on average once or twice a year. I kid you not--She'd vacuum around Christmas if people were coming over (8(), and sometimes (though very rarely) once in the summer. During this time, we had a small dog for five years, two cats for a few other years though not at the same time at the dog. Shoes were allowed on in the house.

The main part of the house is still rather gross at times by my standards (massive cobwebs in the corners, crumbs left on the counter that get swiped onto the floor, so on and so forth), but as my mom told me years ago, "If you want it clean, clean it yourself." I dust the ceilings once or twice a year. Vacuum once a week typically, like I already said in the thread. :P

You are forgiven, addictivepersona! You have seen sense now and God can forgive you for your old ways. Peace be with you ;) Confession is over!

You never really realise just how dirty a floor is until you vacuum it....it can totally look clean, but (especially with a dog) there is always more than you think lurking there.
I've gone and got mostly laminate flooring...not as homely but easier to maintain. I'm really bad for being a butterfingers, always dropping mugs and glasses on plates and basically anything I have in my hands, aswell as tripping up and basically anything dopey and mess-making, I will do it once a day at least. feelsgoodman

I'm very OCD when it comes to cleanliness. I vacuum at least 3x per week, do dishes daily, clean the bathroom 1 to 2x per week, wipe the counters/table/etc. down daily but give the whole kitchen a clean 1x per week, and my room is ALWAYS clean before I go to bed. I can't go to bed in a messy room. Also- everything has to face forward in my room. If anything is turned backward or sideways I have to fix it. It gets tiring with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. 8)

^^ I used to be like that. I have learned that there are more important things that I would rather be doing than clean...like doing nothing. I am happier for it.

My house is always picked up after but I don't do the once a week crevice and crazy clean anymore. I reserve that when I have guests staying for a few days. I vacuum maybe once a week as I have 3 cats and 1 dog. Clean the bathrooms and dust once a month. Everything is always wiped down almost on a daily basis.

i just now hit the kitchen with a degreaser. stove and benchtops are nice again. vacuum weekly but with two long fur cats it's utter futility. we're good with everything but dusting. in the apartment we're in, we got very little storage. that means dusting's a real bitch.

seriously now, you eat, sleep and (hopefully) fuck in that place. all these things are so much better in a clean environment.

I tend to have a bit of clutter around, but I've got a roomba and scooba so the floors are usually clean. Don't dust as often as I probably should, especially as I'm asthmatic, but usually couldn't be bothered until it gets properly gross. I'm in the process of doing a slow room-by-room purge right now, in the hopes of getting rid of all the extra shit that contributes to all the clutter.

Haha I live in a city (Very nice house) And take care of my father. No pets though :P It's always nice and tidy 'round here though.

I was a lot neater when living not with family, my room is still a wreck from moving back home. NEVER any food garbage, and not really things like clothing on the floor...stuff is just sorta piled. Generally, I'm clean, I like to keep my bathroom/kitchen looking neat as well as common areas, but I tend to let my room turn into a mess at times. Messy and dirty are very different --- I'm a little bit of an organized lazy mess but I'm very clean. My hamster cage is cleaned weekly by me so I have no pet odor issues either.

Well, my wife loves to clean. When I got raided by the police, they told me and I quote, "You are the cleanest junkies I have ever seen."
