It is now 7 weeks since i started taking the Winstrol - i had a full month of taking it and have nearly had 3 weeks off it now. I was very pleased with the results i got whilst taking it (and i only took 2 1/2mg per day!!) As well as the more defined look i gained,in myself i felt more 'balanced', confident, more easy going, more energetic and had a increase in sex-drive(i now know why men seem to be always on one level all the time - instead of us women with our mood swings!! The day i stopped taking it (only to give my liver a rest i had mood swings and felt self-confident again! I wonder how much this has to do with our 'female' hormones!! All i want to know is is it really that harmfull for me to take 2 1/2mg of Winstrol all year round? I like the feelings it gives me - do i really need to 'rest' my liver for a month in between?

At 2.5 mg per day I doubt very seriously you need to worry about liver concerns even with longer duration use. In any case don't bother to stay on year round.
My GF used 8-12 mgs daily for six weeks with great effects and no sides. About 20 mgs seems to be the safe upper limit for women but you are smart in starting low as the drugs affect everyone differently. You may find 10 mgs too much.
Has your strength improved much?

I actually just finished reading an article regarding the trend of females using steroids that are really better suited for men - Windstrol is one of the more popular female-used steroids .. of course, virilization is a problem - when breast and clitoral tissue degenerates (and this does happen, literally, your tits will magically go away) there is a large chance it wont regenerate own, another problem is osteoporosis along with a few other problems, none of which would seem to justify a slight increase in your muscle mass and strength, besides, most guys think that loooks really gross in women, and if any female (can you really call those female body-builders "ladies"?) says that guys dont like it because they are jellous.. oh my, what a twisted reality one must exist in to truely believe that..

My strength improved by roughly an extra 40%. As for looking like a bloke - thats what i didnt want to do, hence taking a very small dose. I took it to purely achieve a slightly more 'tight' and defined look whilst still keeping my feminine attributes (i had no reduction in breast mass or enlargement or clitoris). Result achieved but its the liver damage i was concerned about.

In the small amounts you're taking it in I really don't think you have to worry about yer liver.. the concerns people have about liver damage may be valid when yer taking a normal cycle, but it sounds like you're barely using... but really, why not just work out that little extra? A good body is one thing but you don't need to be so rock hard you're having to take drugs that could actually pose some risk to the user even when used with care..

Apart from the look it gave me, i really dont have the time to go in the gym more (i go 5 days out of 7) i also like the way it makes me feel - more confident, balanced and less moody (and higher sex drive!) i also believe doctors prescribe this drug to women who have a low sex drive to boost it up so i guess cant be that harmfull.

Yes, but doctors prescribe it in VERY REGULATED AMOUNTS and they watch your progression VERY CLOSELY ... don't even think you can compare your use to that of a patient being medicated by a doctor ..
So hey, go ahead and use, but I think if you asked a few thousand guys to describe their ideal woman, the composite would be steroid-free... don't let that hinder you - if that look makes you feel good about yourself then go for it..

As far as anabolics go, winstrol is not particularly easy on the liver.
Cycles should not be on for more than 12 continuous weeks. Cycle off anabolics for as long as you are on. When you're on steroids, your body gets to the point where it produces less natural hormones. By cycling off, you give your liver time to regenerate and let your endocrine system return to a normal, healthy productive state.

Ugh.
Back to the poster's original questions.
Stanazolol (winstrol) at 2.5 mg a day is about as hard on your liver as having a glass of wine.
NO, you should not stay on all year and not out of concerns for your liver there is just no need. Anabolic steroids are best used in spurts or "cycles" if you prefer. Six weeks on/ four off or eight weeks on/ four off. Try it either way and see what works best for you.
Stanazolol has a VERY low ability to cause virilization (masculinizing effects) in women especially at doses less then 10-15 mg daily. So Phreex, I don't think that is an issue for her to be concerned with at this point. Furthermore, you would not be able to pick out a woman who was using mild AS at low doses as it will not make a huge difference in there build. She may lose some fat, firm up, and be stronger but she would by no means look like some of the female bodybuilders you are thinking of, it takes much larger doses/ harder drugs for that "look."

The issue of liver toxicity from oral steroids is somewhat exaggerated and very rarely causes severe problems in healthy people. Oral AS cause an increase in liver enzymes due to their structure. They are 17-alpa alkylated in order to survive the first pass through the liver to reach the bloodstream and exert their effects.
Many atheletes chose to have regular blood screening to monitor AS effects on the body. Because oral AS may cause elevations in multi-purpose liver tests such as SGOT or SGPT, it is best to use more specific liver readings as bilirubin, GGT, and LDH to get a more accurate idea of the drugs effects on the liver. Liver effects are DOSE dependant.
10-15 mg of this drug used periodically should present no liver problems.
