Hey,

I know I haven't been the most contributing member but i'd really appreciate it if someone can take the time to read my post and help me out here.
I've been feeling like shit for the last few months and wanted to see what people on this forum think about my situation.

Last 4 months ive been having burning sunburn like pain everywhere along with dry mouth and eyes, flaky facial skin, tremors, feeling cold (it's not cold where i live) and extreme anger bursts.

now my regimen was twice a week baclofen 50 mg, 4-5 times a week kratom 30 grams sometimes supplemented with tramadol, ambien 20-40 mg 3-4 times a week (snorted or crused), drinking sometimes and adderall prescribed for adhd.

When it started I assumed it was the kratom because of the massive doses, so I stopped for a month but felt the same.
Stopped ambien for 3 weeks but foolishly drank throught the process and unsurprisingly felt the same.
Assumed it wasn't the drugs, went to a neurologist (The burning pain was the worst), ran a bunch of tests (nerve tests, rheumatoid, autoimmune etc) everything comes back fine so he concludes it's nerve symptoms of an unknown source, prescribed tegretol which doesn't help.

Now I suddenly read about benzo withdrawal all my symptoms match, especially the burning skin which is a common one with benzos.
I know ambien isnt a benzodiazepine but they're both very similar and work on the gaba-a receptors.

Could these be withdrawal symptoms from ambien even though i've never taken it for more then a few days in row.
I did snort ambien (20-40 mg) 3-4 times a week and drank sometimes which can create cross tolerance.
What scares me is that ive read benzo withdrawal can take a few months and more then that.

Could it be the kratom because of the massive doses even though the symptoms dont really match and I stopped for a month.

Now I know the obvious thing to do is to stop everything, but ive got an apprenticeship in a law firm and im barely holding out as is.
The adderall which makes my pain worse and baclofen a few times when it's worse is something I have to take to keep it together and hold on to my job.

So basically my questions can it be the kratom even though iv'e stopped for a month and it didn't help, and if it's ambien which seems likely given the symptoms, can withdrawal take as long as benzo withdrawal (months to year).

Thanks and again, between my job, the way I feel and not knowing what it is i'm barely holding it together, I can really use some help here.

Baclofen is indicated for a bona fide medical condition. I don't think anyone is going to be able to help you. The symptoms you listed are not related to any cluster of withdrawal effects from the substances you listed that I can think of.

Most of the symptoms you listed are physiological. And the symptoms are of a serious nature (systematic skin pain; extreme anger outbursts).

I would see a doctor and get a referral for a specialist (if needed) and go from there.

Well check your regimen, you use kratom and tramadol, both opiate agonists, Ambien, very similar to benzos, and Adderrall! That's Opiate, Benzo, and Amphetamine w/ds compounded! Of course you feel horrible, all of these substances have shitty withdrawals alone, so together it's really shitty! I know only because I've dealt with the same shit, though different substances, but Methadone, Valium, and methamphetamine are no different(I know the difference, I say it gererally/relatively). You'll need to cut out one at a time. I'm sure the Ambien, and Adderall are fucking with your emotions hard, and the kratom and tramadol cause the pain, and top of your mental anguish.

How can baclofen be cross tolerant with ambien though, one is gabaa and the other gabab, from my understanding they shouldn't have any cross tolerance.
Also yeah at first i assumed its the opiates but I've been off them for an entire month with no improvement, so not sure, I thought opiate withdrawals don't last this long.

Anyways thanks, this is a shitty situation and I appreciate the responses

It isn't the kratom and I have a hard time believing it's the pseudo-benzos (ambien). Burning pain isn't usually a symptom that lasts a long time, anxiety / depression etc usually does but the burning pain is usually just a symptom of over-rapid acute withdrawal and should have been gone by now if it was caused by the drugs. But then again everyone is different, the only way to know for sure would be to reinstate the drugs and see if it helps.

If the pain persists you should ask your doctor for a prescription for pregabalin or gabapentin. I suffer the same type of pain daily and those two medications are about the only thing in the world that helps. Meanwhile you could try taking some magnesium supplements, this helps me somewhat (with the feeling of cold / burning sensation).

pregabalin doesn't really help... haven't tried gabapentin but baclofen is an absolute godsend.

About reinstating the drugs, everytime I take ambien it does take almost all the pain away, mentally and physically i feel perfect on it.
Also I know the answer is likely no but I thought I should check anyway, is there any way baclofen could be cross tolerant with ambien the same way benzos or alcohol are.

This may be unrelated but I got perscribed a benzo type drug for neck pain issues (Tegretol) and one of the options was baclofen for treatment. And the warnings on my drug was possible severe skin related symtpoms. So this might be an issue with sensitivty with the class of drugs you are using. I refused to take this after seeing this so not sure on the actual symptoms.

Other benzos including ambien types have not caused this for me. Kratom shouldnt either beyond the itchiness as per opiates.

Gaba withdrawal can be bad though. For example alcohol for me caused a bad wierd neuropathic neck pain type effect. GABA effects many things.

Holy shit you're on a bunch of shit

yeah.. at first I thought it makes sense, hitting different receptors in different days, turns out it just led to many addictions.
Anyways I know I asked it already but I didnt get an answer, baclofen and ambien shouldn't be cross tolerant right?
I'm not spoiling my break from ambien and everything that effects gabaa by taking baclofen?
