I was told by the Mexican pharmacist they were Valium. but after looking online i found ONE souce saying they are xanax
i just want to confirm

We do not allow pill identification on bluelight. I don't know what your pills are, and since there is no number/letter imprint, nobody here will be able to tell you.. At best, we can speculate for days and still not have a definite answer.

You already have found pharmer, which is my preferred website for pill identification. Maybe try some other forums who allow that sort of thing.
