Opioids Is this normal metabolism?

So I don't normally touch skag (insufflated), but I randomly have done it once in a while as I am scripted Vicodin (10mg) daily. Please note I am scripted Xanax 1mg per day also, but rarely take the full 1mg. I do take .25-.75mg a day for 2 years and skip it if I do skag since I am not a fan of mixing shit that shouldn't be mixed. I have only done it a handful of times and from 2 sources with similar results. The first time was very Euphoric for about 20 minutes and then kinda felt like an oxy high for the next 8 hours or so and then after that...i start to come down slowly, breathing is very shallow, mouth is very dry, and i piss like 10 times before I can sleep without nodding in and out. The total duration of effects was about 12 hours.

The other stuff is a similar description only with way less euphoria in the beginning. It really is slim to none...maybe a little warmth. Then I just feel it slightly for about 8 hours...then the dry mouth comes, shallow breathing, reduced pulse, many pisses, etc). After 8 hours, I actually feel a decent amount of euphoria (maybe from the drip), nod, and can't sleep without nodding for about 4 hours. I don;t like to sleep for the night on it because I take Xanax and have anxiety. The shallow breathing and anxiety gets me thinking too much like I might stop breathing so I usually just stay awake until I piss 7 times and am ready to pass out.

Is this a normal description of dosing skag up the nose? Is my body not metabolizing this normally? All the reports I read are different in duration and effects so I figured someone would have experience with the same thing as me or tell me its normal? I realize its probably garbage skag, but it works for my back pain (i know, awful reason to use). Any input? Feedback appreciated.

That sounds pretty normal, heroin/morphine can have a remarkably long effect compared to some of the semi-synthetic opioids.

If you find your breathing is shallow and tou're falling asleep a lot, you need to dose less. Less is more when it comes to recreational opioid use.

Well, Im fine until about 8 hours in...this is when the nod comes and euphoria and warmth come much harder. Then for 3-4 hours I am nodding and I try not to fall asleep most of the time, but when I dose smaller my breathing is less shallow, my mouth is much less dry (as in water can actual quench my thirst), and I don't need to piss 10 times before sleeping. I just thought it was weird to not really feel any strong effects for like 8 hours or so. I just dont dose after about 1pm, but I happened to the other day cuz I didnt have any Vics left and was walking around a theme park all day long so my back was fucked...dosed like 4 times throughout the day...last time being about 8pm. I probably did a little too much cuz at about 4am my breathing was really shallow and water couldn't quench my thirst at all....i just fought the nod as long as I could and stayed up till like 630am until i couldn't fight it anymore (breathing was much less shallow and i could quench my thirst with water).

I just thought this was odd since i do not really get that much euphoria when i sniff it, but get hammered 8 hours later. The first time I did it, it was Euphoria from head to toe after sniffing it. I just figured I have been getting an inferior product and questioned why it took so long to really make me nod. I only get warm after sniffing it....no crazy euphoria. 8 hours is a decent time frame after dosing. Thanks for the feedback though...
