Hi all, I'm prescribed one 20 MG instant release a day. Usually 4 days of the week I only take half of a pill (so 10 MG). 2 days I do anywhere from 40-50 MG a day.(not all at once I do it in 10 MG increments every however many hours. Is this dangerous health wise? I workout and do cardio religiously and take multiple supplementsess (fish oil, CoQ10, magnesium, etc.)

keep reading threads in the stim section and you will see how small your dosage is compared to people who abuse them.

50mg when 20mg is rx'ed daily stay around the 30mg mark 20mg you should stick the prescribed dosage and stack some up and ALWAYS have a back-up stash trust me it will be a godsend in tough times. As nowadays with the shortages.

If this is about ADHD, I personally prefer to do CBT and/or other forms of therapy without Adderall or Ritalin.
I've had countless ADHD patients, and many do better without the drugs, especially LONG-TERM - although misdiagnosis is also all too common with ADHD patients.
Many of them come here with the diagnosis, taking Ritalin or something all their life, but in truth they were say Autists, that were misdiagnosed by some lazy doc
But even without the misdiagnosis, there are many cases I had where patients would wane down their amphetamine treatment, and exercise more instead, and/or do a 180 on their eating habits,
combine that with CT/CBT and MOST are usually doing very well. Without having to take a drug all their life or having to deal with addiction or dependance.
Well..sports can be addictive, sure. Especially for people with ADHD, because adrenaline gives so much focus. It helps them calm down. ADHD + adrenaline = gooood stuff.
Even sports like Tennis or Baseball can be great, because so much concentration is required. Those are hard at first because of that, but in the end are perfect for people with ADHD.

For Narcolepsy or CFS, ofc you need something to push you, and you will probably have to take some or the other amphetamine..
sports and vitamins and coffee can only do so much. Though I would never recommend taking a drug for treatment and not doing sports in conjunction.
Sports are so fucking important for our body, I cannot stress enough how much it helps. 20 minutes per day, that's what I would suggest everyone do, that helped my Narcolepsy cases too. (In addition to amphetamines)
It's not really my field of expertise though, I've had very few people with Narcolepsy, never seen a CFS case in my life.

And if this is about Hedonism: I don't care and you can do whatever you want
You're not taking much anyways.

But if it's about feeling better or healthier, sports is ofc the way if possible :)
If you CAN somehow do ANYTHING that requires some movement, jogging, nordic walking ffs, idc, just do it. 20 minutes a day. Watch/listen to something while doing sports so the time passes faster, if you have issues.
Once you realize sports make you higher than any amphetamine ever could, you will crave doing sports more than doing drugs. And looking better, feeling better, attracting the other sex, is just an added bonus

ps: i'm ofc not saying you can't have great success with drug treatment. you should always speak with your doc if you want to change anything.
they need to be fully informed, and fully aware of how you want to be treated.

It sounds like you want reassurance, which is normal. We hear stories of people taking relatively "small" doses of something and then OD'ing out of nowhere. Then there's the stories of people who live to 100 when they smoke, drink, have out-of-control drug binges, etc. Bottom line: there is no way (unfortunately) of answering your question accurately.

That said, I think your next best option is to learn about the 'warning signs' of taking a larger dose than your body can handle. I won't list them all here, but if you do a little searching you can find good resources on what to watch out for.

Glad you are being safe and alert about your usage :)

Back-up stash is KEY.... been in tough situations with this before!

Not at all.

I've been prescribed as much as 30 mg three times a day.

And I've done as much as a 180 mg dose.

Once you're Adderall tolerant, there's really no issue.

Yes it’s unhealthy. Why?

Because it leads to a slippery slope 9/10 times. Some can handle it. Most can’t. Most ppl with addiction histories that I know anyway. I can’t speak for the entire population. It’s just my subjective experience.

It leads to addiction and once you introduce porn or sex it becomes a very very hard cross addiction to the point some can only get off if they are stims.

My suggestion is to take it as prescribed.

The difference between therapeutic and recreative use, dose wise. You have no worry, as long as your dr follow's protocol's and he will measure heartrate/ systolic values once in a while.

If your IV-ing a gram a day of illicit Amphetamine. Then it definetly can play a role in influencing your health. Life fast die young. But you don't come over as rock and roll junkie.

IT'S ALL ABOUT A BACK-UP STASH!!!!!!!!!!!!! FROM VACATIONS WHIEN YOU MIGHT RUN DRY TO THOSE MONTHS YOU'RE LOW ON SUPPLY. However. cherish what you have don't dip into for "FUN" dip into only WHEN NEEDED!
