Is This Even Legal please read

I have been OVERPRESCRIBED. I dont take 6mgs ever. I just want on a longer lasting benzo as It seems it would help a LOT more. Im just bummed. I set up an apt I got Monday I will get a doctor who cares. It bothers me doctors would do that. I got lied to and it bothered me. I have NEVER abused my doctors meds. My scripts I was getting lasted me Two fucking months or one and a half. I was over prescribed and told I need detox. I think I feel like I got a legal situation but I KNOW I will find a doctor. I am going to go to this assessment. Ironically the lady told me to call if I wanted to come in sooner no response back at all its very uncomfortable. I have anxiety never got rebound from Diazepam or Klonopin which may work better now I dont know. Im just done saying I am on 6mgs of xanax. Im not going to ask for xanax because everytime I mention that and adderall or dexedrine i get Bad Looks. I pray this new doctor will help...

I ended up finding a good doctor to continue my treatment. I am a very happy/Lucky individual. I cannot believe how much trouble I had to go through.

I personally would go to another doctor and tell them about the treatment you were recieving and that is the reason why you are at their office asking them to continue with your benzo therapy.

Some docs really don't understand benzos at all. They prescribe them with out concern sometimes and then to continue the ignorance think that, when they think its a good time, you should just hop on off. I've heard of docs putting patients through a week or two week long taper from 3+ mg doses of i believe alprazolam or something with similar potency, crazy stuff... That should be considered assault if a doc does something like this. I honestly feel like there needs to be some sort mandate setting minimum standards for benzo WDs, specifically putting in notes for those who may have certain dosages and time period of daily use.

It sounds like you have a serious problem with your medication. You don't just show up to your doctors office without an appointment and ask for a refill of scheduled medication. I suspect that you could really use a severe reduction in your dose and even some time off. You know that benzos lose their efficacy after about 3 months, right???

I think you should listen to your doctor.

I wish my psych would take my benzos! 4 years now and I either want a change or a increase. I went from strong, helpful Xanax to lousy diazepam :/ That stuff is crap.
OP - good luck hun! Your dr well honestly...I wouldn't doubt we're seein the same damn dr :X
As for the drug assessment, just go prove them wrong. I've btdt! I was proven "not addicted" and other than this benzo fight I'm havin with him, he quit ignorin me. I told him I wanted to try a diff med or two almost everytime I see him and he now listens to me. Except takin me of diazepam to go back to alprozolam. Just prove 'em wrong!
