I'm pretty well read when it comes to ecstasy. Probably take it one every 2-3 months (sometimes more,sometimes less).... I usually go to a rave and dance the night away BUT every time I roll, everyone i meet looks familiar. Some people I think I've seen from TV and then others I feel like I grew up with.
I obviously get the love buzz but this is a different feeling - faces look so familiar but I just cant place how/if i know them. I then go over and over it in my mind!

Does this happen to anyone else?
 
I kinda know what you mean here. I sorta get that too. I think its more the fact that your ego is down and everyone is appearing friendlier or something? Therefore making you feel as if you know them.
 
I know what you mean for sure. Used to happen to me all the time. Also I used to get the illusion that people had sunglasses on, which also turned out to be a pretty common occurrence for people.
MDA always brought these effects out easier than MDMA did.
 
I don't much see it that way, but I feel like I am friends with everyone.. I can talk to anyone because we are all friends. So, it goes along with that.
 
I think that why you feel more comfortable and open up to others. You feel a "connection" with total strangers. That's probably why everyone feels familiar to you--it's that unexplained rolling connection. :)

Pretty much everyone has this mate. Other common illusions (in my case) include various phantom objects and features randomly appearing for a short time. Like, people wearing glasses, hats, having a mustache and some other stuff.

Me: "Hey, what's that guy doing over there?"

Friend: "That's a shrub, man."
 
Probably due to the oxytocin being released giving you that sense of trust coupled with visual changes brought about by the 5-ht?

Another 2 most common visual hallucinations are people wearing glasses when they're not and tribal tattoos.. Normally happens in semi-lit / dark places.

The first few times I rolled my night was basically that conversation repeated for 5 hours. Must have looked like such a tit, oh well!
I remember the 2nd time I rolled, I asked the same girl about 10 times in a club if her name was *name of girl I'd met the 1st time I rolled* (forgot the name haha).

Didn't really realize it at the time, but her bf was ready to fight me hahaha. Tried to give him a hug at one point :/
