where i might find answers already for the questions going around my (aching) head at the moment? i'm sure it's all been said before, but cant find it scrolling around at the moment. especially with the headache!

Yes indeed there is, in the Other Drugs forum - link here :)

It's on v13, to find the others check the OD directory here. There's a couple of search functions in BL, if you click on the "advanced search" option you can use the vbulletin search engine (works much better if you use the advanced option) or there's a google one in the top right corner as well.

a lot of reading though, and it's late. just sticking my neck out here... could you please recommend a good antihistamine to take away the sinusy headaches from subutex? had some knocking about after taking dhc for a time, they worked but i cant recall which flavour/brand they were. picking up my sub from the pharmacist in the morning so can antihistamines then.

Hmmm don't get sinusy headaches from opioids but my favourite antihistamine in general is promethazine. Any of the older 1st generation ones are sedating - so diphenhydramine, promethazine, hydroxyzine - where as the 2nd generation ones are not - so cetirizine, loratadine etc. The 2nd generation ones don't cross the blood brain barrier so you don't get the sedation or the delirium with higher doses. I tend to find the 1st generation ones more effective for opioid side effects..

thanks loads for that. think it was promethazine i had before. will get more of that.

this site is great :-)

Glad you like it, stick around! :D <3

Promethazine is definitely the best IMO :)

got em written on my hand ready for the pharmacist in the morning :-)
If your in the U.K (like me) Then be be prepared that a lot of Pharmacies suprisingly do not stock Promethazine (Usually sold under the brand name Phenergan) 56 x 25mg tabs per box, usually about £7-£8 or you you go for a smaller sized different brand and cheaper pack.

Also in some of the Pharmacies they ask quite a few questions as to what you will be using it for? Btw i dont look like a typical junkie! :D I just tell them i use them for travel sickness/Itchiness/Help with sleep.
