Is there any way to tell indica from sativa on the street?

If so, how? Around here theres lots of great bud, but I'm tired of gettin handed sativa when I want indica and vice versa. I'm not that picky, but when I want a sleepy stone compared to a hyper one I can be quite the pot snob.

Most sensamilla on the market is a hybrid of the two. There are very few true indicas or true sativas left. In general, sativas are smaller popcorn buds, or long-ish tight buds, often with long hairs. This is usually what thai or moui wowwie looks like in my experience. Sativas tend to be fruity, with uplifting often psychedelic highs. Indicas are usually thicker, chunkier buds. They usually are a bit more skunky and pungent smelling with severe couch lock. I actually find indicas to be more visual, but less mentally stimulating than sativas.

Hope that helps. The only sure way is to buy from someone who gets brand name strains and look up the sativa-indica content online. Over time you'll get a feel for the differences in look, smell, taste, and high.

just ask whatevef dealer you got through do he/her have indica or sativa based bud, its not that hard to find out, just ask some questions most dealers dont mind

by the smell. indicas or indica dominate hybrids will have a skunky smell. sativas and sativa dominate hybrids will have more of a citrus smell

Well for the most part dealers around here are real nice, tell you what strain the bud is without bullshitting. But they don't know much about sativa and indica comparisons. Guess I'll just hope for a skunky smell. Its been so long since I've had skunky bd that I don't rly know what it smells like. All I've been getting is sativa dominant then. Thanks for all the help everybody:D Hopefully I'll end up with some skunky bud this weekend

The best way to tell the difference is by smoking them. So ask your dealer for a sample before you buy, or buy the smallest amount he will sell. Then if it's the stuff you want, buy a larger amount. Works great for me.

I mostly look at bud structure, as a rule of thumb really dense nuggets are indica dominant where the lighter airier buds are sativa dominant. But as already stated it's hard to tell a lot of the time as they are basically all hybrids.

this is the best and surest way.

When its all said & done not really with hybrids but indica's are generally denser, heavier, no mental stone. Pure sativa's look spindly, under developed, almost weak by modern day western world cannabis standards but will land you on your ass like nothing else. 100% sativa's hardly ever see the streets due to commercial growers favoring indica's with short flowering time & large harvest. *cough* *cough* Doosch bags! *cough* *cough*

Every haze name in Adam, Europe has been heavily diluted with Northern Lights and Skunk to shorten flowering time & make it indoor exceptable.. The trade off according to old timer's is those commercial hazes lack a certain "punch" almost electric that true 100% sativa hazes maintain. True sativa's flowering can go for 16+weeks where as indica's go for 8weeks

^ are you sure its not the other way around & the Sativa's dont give you panic attacks? Pure indicas dont mess with your head really at all.

Yeah, sativa is the type that makes me all jittery, as well as making me useless in the bedroom (damn sativas :P ) Indica on the otherhand has the exact opposite effect, kinda like euphoric viagra with a hint of psychedelia:D
