So I have some heroin that is not very clean. I got it from my scale. Basically, I scraped the surface of my scale which I have been using to weigh out heroin for many months and obviously some heroin spilled onto the scale during this time.

So I scraped the heroin off, but it is not clean. There are little specs of dirt in it and tiny metal shavings from the surface of the scale and it had gotten wet a couple of times too with a little water. Now it crossed my mind that I probably should not inject this heroin. So I was thinking maybe I should snort it. But being the needle fiend that I am, I just want to make sure there is no way I can clean it and make it (relatively) safe for injection.

There's no way that procedure would work for me, considering I would probably lose most of it. I have about 100 mg. The only thing I could think would be to boil it for a little while and then try to filter it very well. Maybe I should just snort it.

No, there's not really any way to clean it up that's worth your while. I honestly wouldn't even use that dope at all. Its gotten wet and there's metal shavings in it? I'm more than willing to bet that you'd feel even worse AFTER you used the dope than you did BEFORE.

Not worth it, in my opinion.

Other than prepping a soution and filtering, not much you can do. Might wanna use a micron if you have one. If not, double filter. You really don't want dirt particles or metal inside you.
I will add a little bit of IPA( alcohol) to a shot if rinsing cottons, never got cotton fever that way. That might help.

Between the bacterial contamination and metal/dirt particulates, I would say just let it go.

I imagine if you got the .2(is that the correct size that filters out bacteria?), then you could probably filter a safe solution, but seeing as you probably don't have one of those at your immediate disposal, toss it, I wouldn't trust focusing any home made filtering device, even if it seems effective-you'll never really know what the hell got into it still.

0.2 is correct. Unless you have access to industrial solvents necessary for an acid/base extraction, just use another ROA or micron filter. If no micron filter, don't IV it. Why IV something you KNOW isn't good?

I always put a unit or 2 of IPA in my solution and cover it for a few minutes before IV'ing something potentially contaminated. I don't know if it's just dumb luck I never got sick when doing that, or if it actually helps. I always did it for "cotton shots"
Any thoughts?
