This is something that's been eating away at me the past few years, and never decided to do anything about it.
When I was around 11, the same time my parents started sending me to the shrink and putting me on pills, I wasn't responding to any of the meds or any form of treatment and never have. Around that time, I may have been 13.. not sure, they had me get a brain scan, or brain mri or whatever, cause I wasn't responding to treatment. Not sure what they were trying to find out.. but regardless, I was never told the results. If I ask my dad about it, I know he won't be honest, I don't trust him. Is there any possible way I can find out the results to this brain scan, and what the dr. had to say about it in notes, like is there a record?

Hmm. Depending on where you live I think hospitals are required to keep records on their former patients for a certain amount of years at least (not forever though I think). If you went to the hospital and you're legally an adult now I think there's a good chance you might be able to see those results.

I accessed my medical records 3 years ago-for a fee. It's possible. Start with the Doctor, he'll send you in the right direction.

If you're in the US, hospitals have a way to look it up from decades ago. My aunt recently got her medical records from around the early 80's. The hospital may have to dig deeper than just going onto a computer and pulling the records up, but if you probe deep enough then it's highly likely they'll be able to get them. As long as you have enough identification and you're a legal "adult", they shouldn't be able to deny you.

alright, thanks guys. I don't know the doctor who oversaw the scan and dealt with the results though, I guess I could find that out from one of my parents though
