Is there any point in re-watching films/TV shows?

You've made the same meaningless distinction numerous times in conversations with me.

if that is, indeed, the case, there are a couple of conclusions one could draw.

1. You like to repeat yourself.
2. You have memory problems.
3. You truly believe that you're saying something meaningful.
4. For some unknown reason you continually misunderstand the tone of my posts and get the false impression that I am really concerned about the topic at hand and/or I am incapable of grasping the notion that people have different opinions.
5. You're studying to be a guidance counsellor.
6. You don't like relatively heated discussions to exist on F&T because they take attention away from the circle jerk appreciation threads.
7. You like to point out the obvious.
8. You think that I believe all other opinions, aside from my own, are invalid simply because I do not entirely agree with them.

Should I keep guessing?

I don't mean only films/tv shows. I mean there are SO many things to do in this life. So many things to experience. When people die they often regret what they haven't done (well this is one of the classic cliches anyone). Personally at the end of my life I don't want to look back and see myself watching the same film 14 times.

My point is, rather than becoming really familiar with films that you absolutely love, why not find other films that you absolutely love instead?

I could die today with no regrets. The fact that someone enjoys a show enough to watch it more than once is a testament in how it connects with a person. People are emotional entities and naturally want to connect with things, experiences, each other and some films or TV shows do that. Your heightened sense of film and self is commendable but remember, not everyone is like that. Imagine how tough it would be to find a new way to eat or drink or sleep every day. ;)

I absolutely love snowboarding but I dont need a new snowboard or new gloves or a new hat or a new helmet or new boots or a different mountain run to love it. I just love the experience of gunning through powder and pissing off skiers. %)
