Well, the question is in the the title: Is there a way to speed up the removal of Subutex/Suboxone from your system?

I mean, has the following ever happened to you?:

For a few days none of your contacts have any Opiodes, so as a last resort you take a Subutex (by way of whatever your favorite method is).

Then the minute you´ve finished dissolving the Subutex, you get a call from your buddy telling you to come on over and asks you how many 80 mg Oxys you want? And your shit outa luck for at least 24 hours, if not a full 72 hours.

Well, if we can put a man on the moon, don´t you think that we can figure out a way to quicken the removal of Buprenorphine from the brain? .

Any ideas?

No.

And you can usually take the oxycodone 8-12 hours after the bupe (but not the other way around!).

stick to low doses like 2mg of bupe if you HAVE to do it. Ive gone from 6mg-28mg a day maintenance at a clinic, and seemed to crave my dose every day, but when i had to find it on the street and pay street prices, i started off at 2mg a day and was like, wow, this is all i need! seriously, the only other formulation of bupe used medically for chronic pain is in 0.2mg tablets, so they consider the amounts were taking to be massive doses. (yeah it doesnt seem that way). IME, 2mg is enough to stave off WD's and most craving and an 80 will jump 2mg immediately if not after 12 hours or the next day.

been thru this toooooo many times and wasted many an oxy, most people on bupe if not all have it really is probably the biggest drawback (or positive if your serious about some kind of recovery)

yeah i got bupe originally for pain in europe: .2mg. SO I come back to the states and I get the 8mg...too much. I´m down to like 1mg once a day or so, and so I suppose that with this lower dosage the time to wait before i could take an opiate agonist would be way less.

But wouldn´t it be helpful if someone smart could make a chart or algorithm for how long to wait after the last bupe dose until they can take a agonist and not waste it.

Just feel lucky you didn't have to feel the sting of withdrawal and maybe try to make use of the time in deciding how to break free of the dependence that is weighing you down. Even those who obtain their life 1 month at a time will soon wake up and realize that they are a slave to a drug. I am not trying to proselytize (I am...) but its an honest to god wake up call when you finally have the opportunity to do something nice like a normal human being (think travelling in Europe or something) and to have your dreams dashed because you know you can't cop more than a 3 or 4 day supply or go without.

You may not be there yet (for most this means they have hit rock bottom once or twice and may now just be living a week at a time, but still need dope), but you will someday....unless you completely give up.

Godspeed.
