Is there a shelf life with EZ-test.

I've kept my kit in it's original tub on a bookshelf away from heat and out of direct light for the past 6 months. The first 10 test I did were all as expected and the pills were good. I was especially pleased with the Simons test which would always go a vibrant blue colour.

The last two tests I've performed (on different batches) have had either no change or very slight with Simons. Before I throw the offending pills away, is there any possiblity the Simons or Buffer are not working anymore?

Well I've heard times like two years mentioned, and also times like six months.
I'd say it depends on how long ago you got the nice results. ie., I would expect to see a slow decline in the performance of the Simons reagent rather than it suddenly failing. If it's a good few months since you last got a nice blue colour then I'd say you need some more reagent. But if it's just a couple of weeks I'd say it's the pills' fault.

It's been about 4 weeks since a good test so maybe I'll test some friends pills and see what I get before re-ordering.
