is there a difference between klonopin and clonazepam?

i was prescribed clonazepam and was just wondering if theres a difference between these two drugs?

There is no difference, Klonopin is just a name brand of clonazepam.

i did some research before posting and some people said klonopin was better. others said klonopin also had extra inept ingredients in it.

Yes. They are the same. Most pharmacies don't even carry the brand name "Klonopin" anymore.

I feel this question has been answered. Clonazepam is just the generic name for Klonopin, so even if the doctor wrote Klonopin on the prescription pad, if he didn't write "DAW" (Dispense As Written, I get this on my birth control since I need actual name brand YAZ) you will get the generic the pharmacy has in stock.
