Is the Kratom bringing back more intense PAWS?

Hey guys, so I'm sure some of you have read my thread about
my Heroin CT withdrawal timeline. Now I feel like another issue has been created.
I was not using ANYTHING for the first 7 days of my detox and I got over
most of the physical WD symptoms. After that, PAWS started hitting me pretty hard.
I was experiencing A LOT of anxiety, cravings, and restlessness.
So my solution - which I feel like I regret now - was Kratom.
My doses have been one dose 4 to 5g daily, sometimes twice if funds are available.
The kratom did not give me any sort of buzz or anything but I felt 100% better.
No anxiety or any GI symptoms like I was getting previously.
Now however, it seems like when I do not have kratom - my anxiety ski rockets!
The morning is not too bad when I first wake up - but later in the day (around 1PM)
I notice a huge spike in anxiety and over all anxiousness.
Do you think the kratom has set me back or even increased my PAWS symptoms.
I have a little bit of aches - but they're not too bad.

Any advice helps - Thanks.

Update:
I caved in and got some more Kratom :(
I consumed 4 grams of Bali about 10 minutes ago.

DAMN THIS ADDICTION - WILL YOU NOT LESSEN YOUR GRIPS, YOU'RE PROVOKING INSANITY!! /end rant

I have a lot of experience on this. Years ago I started using kratom after being off heroin for about 4-5 days, and yes, it makes you feel so much better. The reason it makes you feel better is bc it acts as an opioid. I planned on staying on it only for a few weeks to let my brain heal, but of course, being the opiate addict that I am that did not happen. After a year when I finally quit, i had pretty bad w/d. not NEARLY as bad as heroin, but the still sucked and then came the post acute withdrawals which seemed to last forever until I finally caved and got back on the kratom.

I could go on and on about tolerance, side affects, and how it eventually stopped working at all. But to make a long story short: Kratom became a very negative thing in my life and I’m still suffering post acute withdrawal from it. Although it did really help in the early days, in the end it really just prolonged my suffering.

If you were able to make it 7 days without dope, I would recommend not taking kratom, if at all possible. If it ever comes down to the decision between kratom or dope, by all means do the kratom, as that is the lesser of the 2 evils. But it will prolong PAWS and draw the process out much longer than in needs to be, in my experience at least.

Thanks mate.
I was using kratom for about 7 days - last dose was yesterday - hitting 36 hours of no kratom.
I have not used any heroin for 15 days now. The only real WD symptom I have been feeling
has been anxiety and aches. Other than that, it has not been too bad.
How long does kratom WD last and if I haven't experienced too many physical WD (36 hour mark) you think I'm in the clear
of experiencing any intense withdrawal?

As far as kratom withdrawal goes, you should be fine. Kratom takes a little bit longer than other opioids to really sink its teeth. IT has a short half-life too, so if you were to have kratom withdrawals, you would be feeling the full effects within 36 hours. I think what you are probably feeling is the residual effects from the heroin detox. Your probably just in the post acute withdrawal phase, which is tough, a lot of people don’t give that phase the respect it deserves. Stuff like anxiety, depression, and feeling lethargic are just a given in the following few weeks after quitting an opiate habit.

There are ways you can manage these symptoms though, and there is so much info on here about that, Exercise is your best friend during PAWS. That has been my main tool to mitigate most symptoms. Also lots of rest, eating healthy, and forcing yourself to do things that once made you happy before drugs. It will be difficult at first, but will help so much in the long run! Also there are some supplements you can look into like: macunu pruriens, L-theanine, L-tryptophan (this one is really good), and several more. Just be kind to yourself, and be patient and know that all of this will pass eventually, and once it does you will probably feel better than you have in a long time. You can do it man! It will be tough, but you will be so happy you did!

Just whatever you do don’t take anymore drugs that could potentially be addictive! In this period your so susceptible to crossover addictions. I’ve done it so many times and it always ends up horribly. Time to just get this shit over with! That’s what I’m trying to do at least :)

Thanks for the insight zapgunn!
Yeah - I had a feeling it was just PAWS and not really any Kratom WD due to the fact I had only been using for a week.
I was just afraid that since I was only 7 or 8 days clean of heroin and started using Kratom it may have had some sort
of rebound effect on the WD levels. I guess I am okay for the most part!
The PAWS phase is pretty hard because you're right - a lot of us end up changing one addiction for another!
I am trying to trade my addiction for teas and coffee, however the coffee has not been doing so way due to giving me more anxiety, lol.
Cheers mate.
