Is the damage permanent?

Hey guys,

So I have a few things I'm concerned about, basically I'm an idiot and I harshly regret it. I didn't do enough research and concluded from reading a few articles that mdma was not neurotoxic to me. I began rolling pretty often and ended up rolling 8 times in a row, each time with a small one pill dose, only once did I take two. I mean that's a pretty heavy level of usage that was about 6 weeks worth of straight rolling. I always stayed hydrated and kept cool at raves, however, but I did not take antioxidants. Lately I kept reading and realized that MDMA actually can be neurotoxic, I'm honestly still not sure why but the point is there's a lot of skepticism behind it and point is no matter what if you do it too often it's gonna be neurotoxic in some way. So what do you guys think? Have I already taken on heavy neurotoxicity, honestly my moods are fine and my memory doesn't seem to damaged, I can still recall events I recently did, I'm still scared though that I may have done permanent damage. But in the cells the cell body is never destroyed it is only the branches of the seratonin neuron. So I decided to stop and rolled last weekend after not rolling for 4 weeks but now I've decided to stop altogether.

Is there any chance that my brain may go back to the way it was before after a few years? I mean even if the seratonin receptors don't grow back do they make different pathways to return the brain to normal function? I know heavy users with heavy neurotoxicity get serious permanent memory issues but I haven't found a problem with with mine, so maybe there is still a chance?

Any info could be greatly appreciated, lots of love! thank you so much guys!

Firstly chill out, sounds like you are totally fine.

You don't need to stop using altogether. Just take regular breaks, take sensible doses and always test your stuff.

Take a nice long break, but honestly from reading your post you sound completely fine. Do some more research on the subject.

Haha thanks man I guess you're right, I just need to be more moderate with it, I found a good link

These are experiments and brain scans taken of users who have taken an average of 650 pulls in a lifetime! Even they go back to normal after a break so basically, as long as you don't go on excessive binges and take care of yourself it should be fine. Even then you have a chance of no damage and SERT rebuilding, I feel much more relaxed now lol.

Wut? Do you have any symptoms at all?

If you feel ok after 4 weeks, then:
a) You're pretty lucky
b) There's no need to stop altogether, have another 2 months off and get back into it, but just be more sensible in future. Once every 6-8 weeks isn't going to do you any damage. MDMA is an amazing drug when used sensibly.

Just be more careful in the future. You sound fine to me, your post seems relatively calm and you sound like a smart guy, I'd say just take a 2-3 month break and at that point if all the negative side effects have diminished they you can make the decision if you are ready to take more mdma.

Just out of curiosity did you ever test your mdma to make sure that it is in fact mdma? Just thought I'd point out it's not uncommon for dealers to sell other research chemicals as mdma but you can buy test kits from EZtest or Dancesafe to test your pills or powder. :)

Hope your recovery is quick! Just remember to eat well, get some exercise, get out in the sun if you can and of course get some good nights sleep and you will hopefully be fine in no time.
