Well is it? I've been smoking medical Sour Diesel hash; it's lasted me quite a while and has gotten me really medicated. in your experience is hash more economical to smoke than marijuana (consider how medicated and how much is used)?

this is my first thread btw. Bluelight is a great resource.:)

Welcome to bluelight, and yea hash is more potent gram for gram compared with green. Though you seem to have already aquired that knowledge haha.

I always found hash put me down though, whereas pot could boast my mood and at times make me feel energetic almost. To each their own. Many topics have been covered a thousand times before so its better to just UTSF.

totally depends on your hash/weed connect and how how potent the hash/weed is, so there is no answer only you could answer this why not try it out

Hash is always going to be less cost effective than smoking the weed that it was made of, because you're never going to extract all the THC when you make the hash.

You have a point...But some people may have a different hash dealer who sells their hash cheaper (cheaper as in more bang for your buck) then ones bud dealer this is what i meant, but you get some bubble hash and i gaurentee you will be surprised by the potency

Uh. Hash isn't "extracted" from weed. It's a separate product. Hash is the cannabinoid residue and loose trichrome glands that have been rubbed off the plant during harvesting. Weed is the dried and cured buds. If you don't make hash, the processing and storage rubs most of the hash off the weed before you get the weed anyways.

And yes, hash is generally more potent by weight. That's why it costs more.

The bubble hash part was directed toward the (t)opic (p)oster sorry for the confusion, i assume he hasn't smoke much hash based on his question, i could be wrong, ofcourse!

Uh. Most hash is deliberately made rather than being accumulated as a by-product of harvesting, and it is indeed extracted from the harvested plant. One makes hash from dried weed. Storage doesn't remove trichomes, especially if it's done properly.

How is it made? If it's "made" it's not real hash. Hash oil is extracted; real hash is just brown/black goo.

Things like press hash and bubble hash aren't real hash. They're cannabis extraction products.

"Extraction" isn't synonymous with "chemical extraction". Real hash is physically extracted from weed, be it by hand rubbing, dry sieving, or more modern techniques like water extraction. Also, hash shouldn't be gooey at room temperature, it should be hard, and can be any colour from red to gold to black, even green if it's badly made.

Hashish is a term that represents the product derived from the thousands of years old traditional processing methods throughout northern Africa and Central Asia, if not having spread further. To redefine it to include what modern medical cannabis dispensaries call 'hash' is silly.

The traditional product is an agglomeration of trichomes. Water extraction produces this, so I think it's fair enough to call the product hashish. I wouldn't call anything chemically extracted hash though. Also, hash-making was brought to North Africa by the hippies, so I'd certainly hesitate to define "traditional" as encompassing their methods, which are basically just an inferior version of the Lebanese process.

Imo hash can be anything taken from the buds of a plant, that contains resinus thc.
