Stimulants Is racemic amphetamine still available by prescription?

I find that for my ADD (and for recreation) adderall is more enjoyable for me than dexedrine. So, since NA release seems more helpful to me, I was wondering if it's possible to get even more l-amph with a prescription for the racemate. Have any of you or anyone you know obtained such a prescription? What were the results? Thanks in advance.

In theory a compounding pharmacy could create this. Adderall is about 25% levoamphetamine and 75% dextroamphetamine. Are you saying you would rather have a 50/50 mixture of levoamphetamine and dextroamphetamine?

To my knowledge racemic amphetamine is no longer manufactured and prescribed. Just d-amphetamine and Adderall (75/25). L-amphetamine has basically no pharmaceutical usage these days because if you need an intense decongestant you'll just get pseudo-e.

The only places I can think of to find racemic amphetamine is chemical supply houses (Sch.3 substance though.. get a dea license first ) or the street. And street amp could be anything - cathinones, meth, sugar and crushed Dexedrine...

If you really need the norepinephrine kick you could try carefully combining your amphetamine with, say, a Vicks inhaler with l-methamphetamine, or perhaps (pseudo)ephedrine.

Be warned that runaway NE release can cause anxiety and cardiac problems.

anyways you could always try a massive dose of dexedrine... I noticed the same thing but I know I can keep raising my dose

(side note all these delivery drivers keep calling me for deliveries tonight on accident next guy is giving me free food...)

umm yeah dont mind that I just took 90mg dextrostat within the last five hours so I'm tentatively happy as shit... found my recreational dose I think... hell me and the pizza guy are texting thats fucked up...

yes try a SNRI for long term help if you can't achieve your aid with a moderate dexedrine or adderall or dexmethylphenidate dose... get the levo isomer OUT you will thank us later... just up your dex dose by ALOT and you will feel that golden feeling you want I really believe... Just take (Don't do what I am telling you, or about to tell you I lack a Phd or MD to tell you this info) 60mg+ of IR dextroamphetamine and call me a liar.... the + may or may not be taken lightly...

thats mainly for recreation before you hurt yourself and your peripheral nervous system or heart... I don't think you can hurt your PNS but your other organs can be...

for therapeutic value... dude still you can achieve it with a high enough dex dose...
if you are hell bent on getting more levo amp hit up the vicks inhaler or take phentermine with your adderall (cringe...)

seriously why do people like the PNS side effects so much.. I can understand maybe a 5-10mg dose of levoamphetamine MAYBE.... but damn a racemic mixture? You won't keep that idea long after trying that idea a few times... or one time... unless you like your chest hurting and numb extremeties...

Ah okay thanks. I'll still ask my doctor I guess but otherwise I'll try the vapor inhaler. And don't doubt that I haven't tried every dose of dexedrine that a sane person would take

So i cracked open one of those vapor inhalers and ingested ~40 mg l-meth dissolved in water WITHOUT my adderall. All I can say is wow. The difference is night and day. I'm moving faster, talking faster, thinking faster (my whole mind at my fingertips!). Never before did I really understand the name "speed," not from any dose of adderall or dexedrine. Thanks for the suggestion!

Update: Old-formulation sudafed is just as effective, if not more, without having to down inhalers.
