hey people.
recently ive been using ketamine as an anti Depressant.
In this time i have managed to get a job, and im doing quite well,
I do get a little tired so i pop a caffeine capsule i make up from pure caffeine powder.

It keeps me awake at work which is important i dont want to lose my job

What are the harmful effects of this?

I dont like coffee btw at all, so noone suggest drinking it... lol

I've been taking a no-doz pill or two every day for the past few months and I haven't noticed any adverse effects. (one no-doz = 200mg caffeine)

Also, what makes coffee a lot more bearable is to put a LOT of french vanilla cream in it. I only drink it if it has a crap ton in there. (as in fill the cup with 1/3 cream and 2/3 coffee)

200mg is a decent amount of caffeine but it probably wouldn't cause any problems unless you are caffeine sensitive. A large coffee from Starbucks would have more caffeine than this.

A Starbuck's grande coffee has 250mg of caffeine and a regular brewed cup 150mg according to CNN.

Along those lines the damage a daily caffeine pill of a like mass could do is likely similar to a daily cup of java with slightly greater risk in accidentally taking too many (don't mistake them for tictacs), irritating your stomach (take them with some liquid), and dehydrating you by acting as a diuretic without the accompanying liquid (again wash it down with some water).

As for the long term damage that a daily cup of coffee causes due to the caffeine I'm not sure. I don't believe it is a suitable topic for BDD though, so I am going to close this thread now and direct you to Healthy Living if you have any questions about the long term benefits/damages of having caffeine in your diet.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns about this.
