Is Oxycodone worse than Xanax?

since oxycodone is a painkiller, and probably has strong effects and can be addicting, is it worse than Xanax? I hear it has almost the same contents as Heroin. Now Xanax on the other hand, a benzo, is said to be the most strongest pill out there.

Do these two balance out? Or is one worse than the other?

Not sure what you are trying to ask.

There are too many variables to say.

Who is taking it, How often or how much? Are you talking long-term effects or short term?


They both each have crippling withdraws if one was to get addicted. Some say benzo or Xanax withdraw is a lot worse and lasts much longer than opiate withdraw.

And yes-- Oxycodone can be just as tough if not worse than Diamorphine (heroin) withdraw. It's all really subjective on the person and on a lot of other things.

You are just hearing garbage nonsense from people who don't know anything and pop any pill they get their hands on. Granted oxycodone and heroin are similar in effects, thats the only thing worth noting in your post. Your question is like asking is a heart attack worse than a stroke, hard to say, both are bad but there are many factors we need to look at before anything can be determined.

If you want to know whihc one causes more ODs on their own, its oxycodone. Which w/d is worse and which is more addictive, that is subjective. Which makes you perform more risky behavior, probably the xanax, but its again subjective.

They're two different drugs. Benzo withdrawal is certainly worse than opiate withdrawal. Some people get addicted to opiates and some people get addicted to benzos. It is impossible to tell you if one is worse than the other or better than the other because it is subjective.

Oxycodone doesn't "contain" the same things as heroin. Heroin and oxycodone are both opiates. But they are not the same drug. I encourage you to do research on each drug before asking questions like these....which, as I mentioned, can't really be answered and only really lead to endless discussion. These subjective drug comparison questions have very little harm reduction value because different drugs to different things to different people. I'm going to close this thread.
