Is nausea the gateway for getting high?

Me and my friend go clubbing quite a lot. We both take a stimulant drug at exactly the same time. None of us eat before it. Hes much thinner than me. For Some reason it always seems to effect me first, he wont feel anything but then about 20 minutes later it will start to effect him. But for it to effect him, he has to be sick first, but im never sick when i take it.

After hes sick, he then feels the effects fully. I feel nausea at the start but ive never actaully been sick. Im wondering why it only effects him after hes been sick and why im not sick?

Ive also noticed, during the night i will often get a nausea feeling, after that ill get a rush and feel really happy and alert and fast. Its like the nausea feeling is the gateway to feeling great. After the feeling passes, you feel amazing. But why does it keep coming during the night, I would prefer to get the feeling over and done with at the start.

One night at home, I thought i was on my comedown, feeling crappy. Then i get the nausea feeling, and then its like im high again and back to the start. Is all this normal, can somebody explain this please?
 
your brain releases feel good chemicals after throwing up. When I'm hungover and I vomit I feel good for like 15minutes after. So the stimulant plus those nuerotransmitters being released after vomiting causes a synergestic effect.
 
He's probably sick because the drug is really starting to take affect.. if he managed to hold it in he'd still get high around the same time (maybe a bit after cos the nausea will prob put him off)
 
Sometimes when dosing amp I'll feel somewhat nauseous, but other times I'll feel fine. I have a bad habit of dosing more to offset any negatives though, and it generally works >.<
 
IMO, the only thing nausea indicates is that you have dosed too high, and would be having a more enjoyable time if you had selected a dose more in line with what your tolerance can handle.
 
a bit unrelated, but I get terrible nausea from shrooms (psilo not amanita). Its a love hate kinda thing. The nausea can be pretty terrible, but I know I'll enjoy what happens as it subsides.
