I was on Ritalin but crashed hard n heavy so I switched to Adderall (15mgX4). For the first 2 months I rarely ever had crashes but now it seems I crash anytime I take a full 15 mg pill. The best way I found to deal with it is chase it when the crash starts with half a pill (7.5mg). So Im curious...

Is it typical to have no withdrawal symptoms 2 months then start crashing?

Anyone else have success with chasing it with a lower dose?

Anyone helped by Vitamin C or Caffeine?

I love subjective experiences as well as research, any articles would be greatly appreciated!

Hey dude I haven't done Ritalin in ages but I always used to snort it and at one point in time i was doing about 30 of the little guys a week (friend just gave away his prescription) they lasted about an hour and the crash sucked shit I had a depressed shitty feeling but i was doing 20 - 40 mg at a time. I haven't done any Ritalin in like 3 years since. Dexamphetamine is another story though I've done adderal and it sucks compared to dexies, as far as the crash goes I think its very light in comparison to Ritalin but if you do enough you can definitely feel it, if you've been drinking thats an entirely different monster

Sounds like a tolerance issue.
The Ritalin crash is infamous.
End of that story.

So when you started taking Adderall your body embraced the change in the beginning.
After 2 months tolerance builds up and I think this is the "crash" you are talking about, not so much as a "comedown" but a tolerance issue (the drug isn't working like it used to at those doses).

Ways of avoiding this are .... not taking them 4 times a day every day....then not to take them every day....then to almost take them as a "when needed" dose. AND DON"T CHASE IT USING MORE OF THE SAME DRUG.

I might be completely wrong, but I think it's a tolerance issue.

Personally I have found with amps the more I use them the worse the crash and neg side effects get and not necessarily using more due to tolerance since i never used often enough to build up any. Wonder if its the same thing.

Your question here is kind of confusing..I feel that if you've been taking amphetamines regularly enough that you perceive a real 'crash' upon discontinuation, than you must experience at least a small increase in tolerance.

^^

My regular use consisted upon weekends only over 8 months. With those days between usage I noticed that the same amount could always get me to the same level of high. I did notice the negative effects got worse but it was as if reverse tolerance was taking place where I would get overstimulated and feel the negative effects more and more 2-3 days into a binge as more as time went on.

Im not really familiar with how tolerance manifests so perhaps with more negative effects occurring, maybe that is tolerance showing itself? Im not sure. I was relating tolerance simply to how high xxx amount could get me and nothing else?
