I know of cannabutter with weed and butter, but does hash in butter work equally or better? Also, what form does the hash have to be in to work? And does it work just as well as cannabutter?
Works just as well, though I prefer to save my hash for smoking or vaping and use shitty schwag or mids for my edibles. I also prefer working with oil over butter, I find it easier and less time consuming.
I let mine simmer for 4 hours. The hash was broken down very easily and just infused in the butter. I did not have to strain it by any means.
And i agree with saving your hash to smoke if you have a limited amount, but when there's a non stop flow from hundreds of different patients, it's not that big of a deal.
We've found that cooking with hash is a much easier way to be consistent with the potency of our edibles.
Since we are offering them to patients for sale, we need to be able to create consistent doses between batches.
It doesn't take long for THC to decarboxilate and if you overcook it it will become inactive (reaching over 350 degrees.)
Just melt the butter in a pan and throw the hash in, stir a little and your good. Try to pulverize the hash first to help it melt. Then cook with the butter. It works really well.
^I knew it was possible to cook with hash, rude rabbit just torched his hash cuz he didn't know tempature conversions......Key info to know, but everybody fucks up baking shit in the oven once or twice (I'd say to be more careful, as burning hash in the oven is expensive and stupid
Stay safe
