Is ketamine legal to purchase in canada?

Hi All,
I asked this question a long time ago and I can vagly remeber that it is legal to buy and carry ketamine in canada as long as it is in the original form (liquid).
Am I correct? Please let me know, and as always live free but bee safe!

The original form of ketamine isnt a liquid.
Regardless though it is a shcedule F in Canada so I imagine any form of it is illegal.
 
You might have better luck in the legal forum.
Ketamine is a tricky one because it's not included in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (where most people would go to find out the legality of a substance in Canada).
It is, however, a controlled substance in the Food and Drugs Act. You can read the act here:

I wouldn't bank on it being legal for someone who does not have a bona fide good (read: legal) reason to have/use it to carry it around.

I realize you mentioned purchase. Probably not a good idea if you're looking to not break the law, again, unless you're a vet or something.
Anyway, you should look around. From my quick perusal, it appears that if ketamine is regulated solely in the Food and Drugs Act, the penalties for contravention are much less scary than those in the Controlled Substances Act. The harshest penalty I saw was $5000 fine and/or 3 years imprisonment.
Effigy: Schedule F to what Act? I know you can't mean the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, since it doesn't have a schedule F (and its schedule VI, which might be mistaken for F, doesn't include ketamine). Do you mean the Food and Drugs Act? Or, to your knowledge, is it included somewhere else as well? As is obvious, I know very little about the legal status of this drug. . . always looking to learn more. thanks.
