Stimulants Is it safe to start taking my antidepressant (wellbutrin) after a speed bender?

Even though wellbutrin is not an ssri but rather a ndri, i didnt take it for the 2 days i was on a meth binge. I just know that my psychiatrist said wellbutrin is a substituted cathinone and hence it is derived from a stimulant. A big reason he put me on it was to help kill occasional cocaine cravings. I really should take my dose since I have missed a couple days, but do you think it could cause harm due to the meth thats in my system? I also take an anti seizure med prescribed for bipolar, so im not worried about the seizure risk.
 
you should take your medication as prescribed which means daily, don't skip days, which means don't go on meth benders if you're trying to treat a preexisting condition. it is counter productive. do yourself a favor, go see your doctor as soon as you can, be 100% honest, tell him about he bender and what ever else you havn't and ask about the wellbutrin, for now i would resume taking it exactly as before, maybe wait till the next dose time so u dont mess up sced. but either way it depends how long the meth binge was hopefully you didn't do much, in which case you should be fine to just take your medication as normal
 
A slight seizure risk is really the only thing you would have to worry about based on my understanding of the two drugs interaction. I would say to get back on your Wellbutrin (Bupropion) asap and stick to a schedule as it's very important with these types of medicines as R(x)AGE stated.
 
I've taken regular Wellbutrin doses while binging on IV meth. The worst thing I saw was decrease in intensity of meth rushes. Now I'm not talking about deep medical scans or anything, but based on my own personal experience there doesn't appear to be any immediate, obvious danger. If it were me, I would go ahead and take the Wellbutrin and start laying off the meth for a bit. Should be fine…barring any unusual individual medical variables of course.
 
man as long as your on benzos/anticonvulsants you oughtta be alright

P.s. i just started wellbutrin...so far all its done is give me shitty dreams and wake me up at night...and shorten my fuse..
