Is it possible to have no dopamine in your system?

I been on ADHD medications for two years. It's been an on and off thing and I don't take them all the time. Why do I always have a craving for this drug and why can't I function without it? When I'm not on the medication, it feels like everything I do is a chore, including the stuff I do for fun, just doesn't feel fun anymore. Is there still any dopamine left at all in my system? How long will this lack of pleasure last? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes but you would have to be using a lot of cocaine, or meth to actually deplete most or all of your dopamine. It's not going to happen from ADHD medications, especially when you don't take them daily, and when you take them at the prescribed dosage.

Even people who abuse or take Dexedrine/Adderall/Vyvanse, etc. at high doses don't deplete most, or all of their dopamine.

You'll get your dopamine back, most or all of it. It's just withdrawals just like any other drug after prolonged us. For how long it lasts? Idk I always went with the "how long you've been using is how long you will recover to normal normal". So yeah for me when I was using methamp daily for say 4 months took me 3 ish months to feel normal again after quitting. But then I was really contributing to recovery by being healthy, exercising and shit which pretty much help speed up the process.
