Is it me? Advice please?

Basically I'm about to have a whinge. If you can't handle that my apologies.

I find life interesting. Tonight opened my eyes a little more into the world of uninformed people.

Without going into detail, I'm a unique person. Style, talk, way I hold myself, music I like etc... Unique to those "cool type" "blokes". I guess I'm fucking fed up with the way I'm treated at times. I'm a smart person who likes to have smart conversations and not talk total bullshit and get blind drunk to have a laugh. There's a fine line between being funny and being insulting. Unfortunately I can't avoid seeing these people and have to be around them at least 3 times a year... Too much if u ask me.

For example, I was asked about weed which I replied with factual information. Within minutes I had 20 "blokes" laughing at what I said. Cool, no dramas... Fast forward 2 hours it's still the rolling joke? Seriously?

I don't really know what to say, just need to vent I guess. Why am I the one who doesn't "fit in" with those "cool blokes"? I don't and never have understood it!?!? Guess it's just me.

PS: I'm no kid, and have done and seen it all!!!!

only solution to ur dilemma i guess is to learn how to act instead of reacting to things people say to you/treat you

aka stop giving a shit about what other people think of you

why do you have to see the bros 3 times a year? if you dislike their company enough im sure you can find an excuse

Depending on the situation sometimes 'factual information' isn't needed and in those situations (when people are drunk, high etc) you may need to lighten up a little? If a group of my mates were all wrecked and saying - man I'm fkd, man I'm wasted and somebody said - My endorphin levels are increased due to synaptic relays (or whatever) it would be funny as hell for the rest of the evening. Not because they were unique, not because the rest of us are blokes but its just out of the ordinary.

If you talk that way all the time giving factual responses when the rest of the group are having fun then maybe find another group to hang with who are on your same wavelength.
