Not sure if this topic has been covered yet, but the name speaks for it self. Let me explain, a friend and I were talking and the topic of "smoking" alcohol came up. We were both open to the idea, but he drinks on a regular/daily basis and because of this he obviously has a tolerance to alcohol. I however do not, I have only gotten drunk a couple times in my life, I have always preferred marijuana over alcohol. So because of this, I have no tolerance to alcohol. The alcohol used will be Bushmills Whiskey, which contains 40% alcohol. Is this safe for someone like me? My main question is are the dose for oral and inhalation of alcohol the same? It takes three or more shots of whiskey for me to feel buzzed/drunk, so would I use the same amount for inhalation? My method of inhalation would be pouring the dose of alcohol into a empty two liter soda bottle, fastening the bike pump to the end of the bottle and pumping 5 times or so, removing the pump and inhaling the vapor and holding it in my lungs for 3 seconds or so, and then exhaling. Is this correct? Is it safe? Will this cause any serious health damage? Will the effects be any different from oral administration of alcohol? Based on the info I provided, what do you think a good dose would be for me? Thanks Bluelight!

Interesting. I never heard of this. I wonder if it lessens the dehydration of alcohol. I can't drink, it used to dehydrate me so much…

Oh god I've heard of kids doing this and ending up dead but they were using dry ice instead. I thought it was a joke at first but nope kids are actually doing it for "fun'' a more interesting way of consuming alcohol. Dieters also do this to avoid the empty calories that come from drinking alcohol. They get to be wasted and stay skinny yet they are risking their life and being really stupid by doing so.

Its not safe either way I'll tell you that right now. When you smoke it the effects are instant because your lungs have arteries that lead straight to the brain. When alcohol vapor is inhaled, it goes straight from the lungs to the brain and bloodstream, getting the individual drunk very quickly. Because the alcohol bypasses the stomach and liver, it isn’t metabolized right away, and the alcohol doesn’t lose any of its potency.People who smoke their alcohol are at a much greater risk of getting alcohol poisoning and potentially overdosing. When people drink too much alcohol, they tend to vomit. Getting sick is one of the ways that prevents an alcohol overdose, but when alcohol bypasses the stomach and liver, the body can’t expel it therefore instead of puking when you overdose you end up in really bad shape and possibly dead if no one can save you fast enough.

It’s also much harder to know just how much alcohol you’re consuming in one sitting if you’re not stringently measuring. If a cup of alcohol is poured into a bottle and then vaporized, the drinker cannot tell if they are inhaling a few sips or the whole cup, since the liquid remains in the bottle.

It’s also terrible for your lungs and nasal passages. Your lungs are not meant to inhale something that can turn back into a liquid. Think about it for a second When you think of liquid in the lungs, you think of drowning. Now imagine drowning in alcohol.

For HR sake don't try this I'll leave it at that take the information I gave you and do what you will but if you value your life you will not go ahead and engage in this risky behaviour.

That is what happens to me too, I usually have nausea and a huge headache while I'm drinking! I go to the bathroom every fifteen minutes, and I have disgusting dry mouth. I heard there are almost no side effects (usual side effects such as dehydration and hangover) with this method. If it is that dangerous, I will not do this, if it is relatively safe, I will take it extremely slow and report how it goes. Thought this was a joke when I heard it too but it turns it actually works.

Yeah, my body just doesn't have an affinity for alcohol, I just don't do well with it … never have, with huge headache also.
Which is great for me as I've been highly chemically dependent on many substances. Train makes a good point. I had no idea, seems like no joke! Be careful if you do decide to try it… Let us know, So we know you are okay. :)

You'll have side effects no matter what route of administration you use for a drug. Like a drug addict who snorts his drugs starts to have his nose fall apart so he switches to smoking then his lungs get fucked. Then he switches to IV use and thinks he found the perfect way to avoid these side effects but starts getting abscess, particles in his organs, blood poisoning, track marks, etc.

But it sounds like you don't want to take my advice so have fun. I suppose we all endanger our life from time to time to get high but this is really stupid in my opinion. I listed many problems that stem from smoking alcoholic beverages above so no its not this perfect side effect free way of consuming alcohol like your friend is making it out to be.

Smoking alcohol is like a night of binge drinking in an instant. There are no effective ways to measure how much is consumed. It comes with the risk of alcohol overdose or poisoning and a potential for brain damage. Like i said In the normal course of drinking, as people become more intoxicated, they generally vomit. Vomiting is the actually your body’s way of preventing an overdose. Your body won't do this when inhaling the stuff, once the brain has absorbed the ethanol, there is no way to expel it from the body.

Friends don't let friends drink and drive.
Well I think friends shouldn't let friends smoke their alcoholic beverages :\

One of the only drugs out there that can be made to taste good and people want to vape it.

Of course it's dangerous, drinking it is bad enough, with vapours you're at more risk of OD, fires, etc. Maybe with the method you're considering the worst risk is wasting some good whiskey, it sounds like too much effort. Heard it's not that good either, short lived & gives a hangover. Seems like more bother than it's worth.

Yep they had a few vapour drinks that came in a wide mouth Martini glass as a low calorie option for people in the bar trying to lose weight. But apparently you still get the calories just not quite as much. Don't think it caught on as much as they thought it would.

how would you vape alcohol? I have an e-cig, and it takes a day to run thru 4ml of juice. how would you down 50ml of say everclear? ive heard of rectal or vaginal administration, but not inahled or vaped. if you dont want to drink it, leave it alone imo.
