Important to note that hair follicules are on a long cycle, quite a bit longer than 8weeks. I think 12-14wks is a good number to use...?
Sorry if it sounds like I am guessing- but I am not, at least on the core fact. When I went in to have a hairline restoration quote (changing career context made me cancel), I was bombarded with facts (to his credit) and I followed up with 30-40hours research. That was a dozen years ago.
There are always growing, visible hairs... and ones asleep.
Also why laser or electrolysis hair removal takes multiple treatments. Each treatment is only partially successful, plus almost completely unsuccessful in acting on the dormant "roots".
My point is you have to go through a few of these 90-100 day cycles to get a feel for your hair loss. In my case the hair goes from completely straight, to a slight wave/curl, about 10-14 months before it thins. This too is explained in literature on the subject- by restricted/failing follicules.
I am on a perhaps upper level TRT dose of 160mg/wk. Loss has tapered off. When I was over 300mg/wk cruise for a year plus, the loss really seemed worse. I had also added Proviron and NPP (short duration Deca).
So.... within the imperfect world of self observation, I would say the answer to your question is yes.
But other answers saying it depends on genetics are very correct too.
