Is Ephedrine legal in England?

Erowid only states that it is legal to have small quantities of ephedrine products.
Is ephedrine legal in England??
I posted this in Europe Drug discussion as well, because I need an answer by tomorrow and I hadnt thought that it might be illegal to bring them over there.

In Argentina it's illegal unless you get a recipe and since pseudo ephedrine is therapeutically as good you ain't gonna get one.
Obiously you can get it if you ask in enough pharmacys, but that's another story.
 
no sudafed is psuedophedrine
i just went to the store and got carded to buy stackers... didnt have id and the lady didnt believe that im 23, so she wouldnt sell them to me. i didnt know they could card for that. its never happened before, even in that store.
anyway, im more curious about england. im going there tomorrow, and i need to know if ephedrine is legal there.
any info is appreciated.

You can order stacker products over the net quite easily if you have a credit card. Purple Passion caps are quite nice, but they have other herbs apart from ephedrine. They do work as an aphrodisiac.
 
Legal or not, ephedrine sucks for a multitude of reasons. Just take speed.
 
Well just to let you know I don't think it sucks. But I wish I had the info for you. I get yellow jackets online and they come in about 2 or 3 days.
 
Just so you know, I've been carded at GNC for Ephedrine containing products before. They just want you to be 18.
If I had to guess, I'd imagine they're concerned with high school students and athletes abusing them. They're fine with college students abusing them, apparently.

I'd just find whatever GNC equivalent they have in the UK, and check over there...
 
I've never bought them offline, but in gas stations and such I've always been carded. On the package of Yellow Jackets and most all other ephedrine products it says that it is illegal or unlawful to sell the product to anyone under the age of 18. So they're just doing it to avoid getting fined. Though I've known several of the local GNC's have not carded anyone buying such products. At any rate, it is still legal in Pennsylvania. Sorry I couldn't tell you anything about England.
 
they still sell "ephedra" which is basically ephedrine, but its not synthetic.. im pretty sure its illegal to sell ephedrine in the united states.. i think its harder to turn ephedra into methamp, so its legal still.
 
In the fucking NFL. You can get suspended for three games for having it in your system but if you have weed, speed, heroin, crack etc. in your system, you only have to go to counceling......FUCKED UP
 
ok, i just found this...
1 Ephedrine is a prescription only medicine in the UK, used in the treatment of bronchospasm (athsma) and other disorders. It is not available 'over the counter'
so i suppose i will have to do without :\

then why would it state that ephedrine is only by prescription? does that mean pure ephedrine?

yup.. same way here.. you cant buy ephedrine, but you can walk to the gas station and buy as much ephedra as you want. i was reading a bit about ephera the other day, and apparantly, it contains ephedrine, and a whole bunch of other active chemicals. like i said, i think it has to do with the ability to turn it into meth.. ephedra is less effective/harder or something like that.

oh ok... for some reason i was thinking stackers contained ephedrine, but they contain ephedra... i just sort of lumped them together.
the info ive found out has basically been that it has a very very low scheduling, and is basically overlooked in england.
